how do i set the nanopad up with Reason 4.0's Redrum?
I have found this on some review-like website...
"Using the Korg Kontrol Editor software, I went back and reprogrammed it so that Pad 1 would trigger Redrum's Channel 1 sample (C2), Pad 2 would trigger Channel 2 (C#2), and so on."
I Did that but get no sound from it.
its not reason cos my nanokey works with it.
If someone could help a brother out id be really appreciative.
yes , it's compatible , in the box says this pad is compatible for vista and XP!! And , it's compatible with Windows Seven too , i tested it on my PC using this windows ,it's works great! xD
I just tested it with XLN Addictive Drums in Cubase 4 on a new Frost music PC. I have not tested the alternatives Kord padcontrol,M-audio Trigger finger, Akai MPD16 og MPD24. The salesmen said that Trigger finger was better. This is my verdict:
+ Cool new chord function otherwise only seen on much more expensive product.
+ Small
- Unplayable pads! I had to hit so hard to get a regular beat my fingers hurt.
- 12 trigger buttons will just give you 3-4 cymbals and bells and cowbells.
People who are complaining about how hard you need to press the pads, change the velocity curve. You can set it to a constant, non pressure sensitive one even.
don't you believe it mate, they drink bucket loads of the stuff hot and cold. oolong is especially tasty on ice, in Japan where these guys are, you can buy it bottled frosty by coca cola corp.
I don't speak Spanish :(

easiest way to do it is:
1. Open redrum in reason
2. Go to Options > Remote Override Edit Mode
3. Right click any of the blue arrows
4. Choose override mapping > [select midi controller]
5. Check 'Learn From Control Surface Input'
that's it.

Is it working with Reason 4?
southhayabusa 2 years ago
The Key works with Reason 4, on the website of Korg you can download 2 zipfiles w/ drivers to install the Pad, Key or Controller as midi device...

I think I saw a video from a guy who uses nanokey with reason, it's here somewhere if you search nanokey as keyword in youtube.

Can this control Battery VST?
Cause i'm kinda looking for a controller...

It can control ANYTHING that accepts MIDI signals or MMC triggers. As to Vista - dunno, I imagine, but I avoid Vista like the plague.
