To be real... I tried "La Mousse de Canard" of Hénaff, But it is clear that only I experienced in trying to figure out what is so good about the suffering of an animal, is an appetizer with common taste that may well be replaced by another, not involving such cruelty, I tasted foie gras but I am completely against, I tried only why the duck died and I did not want his death be in vain,nevertheless I still threw the rest away.

I am French, from the country of this atrocity. I can't understand the pleasure to eat the foie of an animal which have been fed to death. And I will never.

ya of course some "religious" is always gonna come here and say "oh the animals are here to serve us, they are worth nothing ,god makes them to be killed if you believe in god you are forgiven so you shouldnt worry about it, faith is everything,only those who don't believe are bad "etc.I'm not gonna name their religion,they know who they are.Problem is, they usually give an easy excuse to the rich&powerful to continue their dirt,either it harms the environment,the people,or animals

@frizstyler God made the world, and He owns it, so He doesn't like watching us desecrate it either. But we have, and that's not God's fault. It's ours. God gave us the world to take care of, but we messed it up, just like we've messed a lot of other things up. Thankfully when Jesus returns, He will renew the world and the environment will be as it should be again. If you think I'm making this up - this view is actually Biblical. Does that clarify the Christian view for you? =)

This is cruel! No organism should have to go through that kind of pain and torture. For something that only tastes like bread (I HAVE NEVER EATEN IT BEFORE). I am saying bread because they are given tons and tons of grain, so it is common sense right?

How sad! I'm vegan so I would eat duck or goose liver anyway. It's just not natural they way the birds are kept. Anyone willing to eat a diseased animal earns the right to the disease themself. Namaste

I have a pet duck - not the smartest animal in the world, but he is very special to me. I don't understand how anyone could treat an animal like this - we need to learn that animals are not a faceless entity, but individuals, just like people, and just like my duck, Smudgy.

not all ducks/geese are abused for foie gras production, hudson valley foie gras is an example, as well as foie gras and other meat products that can be found in small villages in france by local producers who've been doing it for generations, where the animals are treated very well. i think there are worse atrocities to be found in the american cattle, poultry, swine industry, and in the fishing industry where we over fish and destroy species/ecosystems, but i never hear peta denouncing those.

I eat it and is Delicious now that was before i knew what it was...i always thought it was a cheese..but now!...i hate it i will never eat it again Q-Q poor ducks (has two ducks Dose not own ducks just allows them crash at his place every migrationary season.) funny thing is they always come back to my house :D

I really can't understand why people eat foie gras. Not only is it really cruel, but the idea of eating a diseased liver is just gross.
