hello! i am totally freaking out on making my portfolio for graphic design,
they'd prefer i have it submitted in digital form, then here comes a question.
do i have to print out my artwork in large size paper they require? sorry, i'm just totally confused about that part. Also, this video helped me with my other questions! thanks!
@rkey16 If all they're asking for is a USB, then it probably means that they just want you to drop the files into a folder on your USB drive and send it to them. If so, then it's a pretty easy process.
@rkey16 But make sure that you rename all of the files so they open in the order that you want. For example, if you have a painting called "Purple Sky" and you want it to be the first thing that the reviewers see, rename it "1 - Purple Sky" or or something like that so that the folder puts it at the top of the list. The next one would be "2 - Green Grass" or whatever.
Also in the folder, put a word document or pdf that has all the artwork info on it like name, size, medium, and date.
I could have been there since 2006 and already have graduated, but my counselor from high school was a person who ended up discouraging me...ugh it angers me >:/
@Mandylicious2 It's never too late. I too was mislead by my counselors and choose public university over art school. I still have time to transfer which I plan to do next year.
Don't give up if you really want to do it, work hard on it. :)
@alhex123 she told me that I would never be able to afford to a school like that and that I would forever be in loans and such. So, that I was better off going to a community college :(
@alhex123 I mean I would have done anything to get as many financial aid and grants and scholarships to go because when you want something to better yourself, you'll do anything to get there. And I was willing to and went to my counselor for that, but instead of letting me try...she just shot me down. :(
@Mandylicious2 wow yeah she really did not do the right thing I am sorry. It is cool how you knew in high school what you wanted to do and where to go. I forgot I was good in Art and it took me halfway through college that Art was for me, but yeah It is never to late. Hopefully your doing doing well and one day you will go :D
@Mandylicious2 wow what a shitty counselor, iam a senior but imo to a counselor u get tell her/him this is what i want, what do i have to do in life to achieve this. THERE WILL ALWAYs bE A WAY!! luckly my mom is my counselor at my school... so shes nice haha
