Talking purely on straight line acceleration, of course. Seeing as the new Mustangs stack up evenly against M3s on road courses, the Chargers wouldn't even be worth mentioning.

Apparently the new Challengers coming out have variable suspension to be both smooth and comfy or stiff and performance-oriented as wanted, along with more power. I'm not really a Ford guy but it's pretty amazing what the new Mustangs can do. But one thing is for sure, the muscle car wars are definitely back.

Example would be any of the old boss mustangs or cobra jets or shelbys or machs. The charger wasnt even one of Mopar top performers back in the day. Cudas, Challangers, Darts, Road Runners, GTX among many others were lighter and avialble with the same 440's and Hemi along with 727s or 4 speeds making them far quicker and faster then the boat of a charger.
