If some POWs blew themselves up with hidden grenades 70 years ago, that does not call for shooting an incapacitated combatant. If you are so scared to take in an incapacitated enemy, then strip him naked so you can be sure he does not have hidden explosives. It is better than putting a bullet through his head. But the cost in overall deaths from both the military and civilian sector would have been much higher than those of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. Can one who has never experienced war truly have a valid point of view of it? Usually when one tries and kill you, you're more than likely want them dead and be glad of it. It's natural survival instinct. It's not going to be "Oh you're shooting at me, (fire fight and you kill the attacker) man why did I kill that person?
