I have a really sad dilema with this game, i remember i got it for xmas when i was like 8 and i was soooo stoked i loved it so much, and u kno how things u love disappear and u never can find them, thats what happend with this game, and since i could never find in stores to buy... im sure i can get it off amazon but w.e.

My computer can't play this game, it's too advanced for the game. It goes way too smooth and fast, then an error message pops up in the game saying there's a fatal error and has to close. Any advice on how to get this to work? I have windows XP

@xAce9009x It could be a number of things. As this is a standard DirectX 5 game, modern hardware shouldn't have a problem with it. You might have to run it in Windows 95/98 compatibility mode. I had to do that to get SimCity 2000 for Windows (3.1) to work under Windows XP. You could also try updating your drivers (for video card, etc.) and see if that helps.

hehe this game is a lot of fun, but my favorite sim game from the 1990s was definitely Sim Tower. Gonna reinstall it right now actually. This game, I do have it, but it's hard to play :D

You didn't need to think of a plot. This is just the first episode of Race For Your Life., and wow your AI actually drives. For the most part mine just constantly use the Popper/Hopper.

Lol for back in 1997 this game was just the best. Make SC2000 cites, go to Streets of SimCity, and play the hell out of it. Occasionally I would level it all with missiles. Damn that game was fun. Too bad I don't think I even have the disc anymore.

Well there isn't a list of servers that you will find when you open up mutlplayer. It attempts to find servers/games running on your network (if you have one). but I'm quite sure you can play with people over the internet with this game.. all you have to do is host it on your pc and give people the ip address of your internet.

it works on XP,Theres a program that stops all the bouncing of AI cars. its called

cpugrab.exe its a program by microsoft that can occupy part of your computer while your running the game, so there is no voodoo rush error i use it and usally use it at 60%

This is a known problem on newer computers, its something to do with the way the SimCopter/Streets Of SimCity game engine was built, it in some way calculates the CPU speed to keep the "timing" of the game, and faster computers mess this up by playing the game for this. I HAVE been able to fix this in SimCopter buy using a program that intentionally slows down your computer, but there aren't really any good free ones, you'll have to look around.

Yeah geforce. You just have to turn up the graphics and move the fog out so your computer works harder. Fixed the problem a bit. Not as many cars where bouncing it Does seem to help (Plus the read-me gives you hotkey tips) I just discovered this today so its working on my comp and im using windows XP

Anyway, this game is one of many that always reminds me you should leave options for rendering everything because that distance fog was just pathetic on any computer that could actually run this.

yup the cars would just kinda jump around and everything would be really fast. i looked this up and it seems that alot of older gamesmbased the animation on the clock cycles of the average cpu of the time (1997 would be around 166Mhz-233Mhz maybe?) so this game expects to see a processor at that speed, but say, even my pentium 4 at 2800mhz is like, 15x faster than that.

this game was hopelessly broken to begin with, but in '01 I tried playing it on my then new computer (p4 willamette 1.5ghz/256mb ram/geforce 2) and it ran too fast. same with simcopter.
