Gen's Tower is in the Aristocratic Quarter. Say you enter the area from Rao's room, and go straight towards the Queen's palace, turn to the left just before you get there and investigate the back of one of the towers (it has a fence around it). There will be several cat climbing statues that will allow you to get to the top and into Gen's room.

Okay, so I figured it out for Wii kids (I don't know if you want to put this in your artist's comments or something), you need to hold Z and move the wiimote back and forth. Don't worry about the shape, it's the general zigzag motion you need.

I have the wii version and I absolutely can NOT get the thunderbolt. My game always thinks it's a galestorm or it just doesn't recognize the brush strokes at all. Bahhhhh...

Pt. 115, in terms of where it is in the walkthrough. You need to challenge and defeat Ida in Shinshu Field 3 times, and then you'll get the Gimmick Gear from him.

Yep, just trying not to let out spoilers X3. You need to get into the town of Wep'keer, and the merchant should be right by the sort of stone stairway.

here's the deal... i finally (after 30 minutes just like you) ended up drawing the so-called "perfect lightning" and got the skill update... but here's the problem: it's going to be quite impossible to pull it off while fighting against enemies. i tried using the skill with the thief mini-game and simply gave up. i really hope that none of the final bosses will REQUIRE to use the lighting technique cause that would be a nightmare... why is it so hard to do on the wii?

But you just guide the lightning down from the clouds. I waited until Gekigami's other lightning thing to defeat Hayazo.

i tried for 30min but in the end i just drew what i thought looked like a thunderbolt without connecting the dots that well and it worked! Wii version is tough but it takes getting used to.
