  • i just got mine today for xdm 3.8 .45. Im a small guy, about 5'11 170 lbs. Im slender and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to conceal anything other than a 380. Its disheartening to me. I love my xdm and want to carry it, but that may not be possible. Before i scrap it ill try playing with the clips(lower the ride of the pistol) and trim some excess leather off. As of right now in a t shirt any movement (bending over, twisting, leaning forward) leads to clear and obvious printing. :(

  • Similar to the Cross Breed holster

  • There's a new oyster called the cloyster

  • Looking to buy one next week... I think your review sold me on it...

  • Was wondering if that had the optional steel clips. The plastic ones aren't covered by their warranty.

  • You have a good voice for narration. . Silicone Spray can help waterproof absorbent or stiff leather.

  • The outline of that looks huge, do you need pants three times bigger to fit that in your pants and do you have it up against your skin or do you use an undershirt? Just got a keltec pf9 and I am trying to figure how to carry comfortably , thanks.

  • Whoa I didn't know Vince Vaughn did holster reviews!

  • I got mine yesterday and love it

  • jeff i got a question for u specific to me. im 6'1 and 127lbs. whats the best holster choice for me. I wud like to carry my sr9c. i currently carry my sig p238 owb.

  • sweet grips.

    weird ass holster lol

  • y do u how that ur guns r empty, should i be doing that please answer

  • @KMTTAM everytime you pick up a gun you should know its empty and not ready to fire to be safe thats all

  • I am not sure if anyone has commented on what the Hi Point 9c is. It is the 9mm version of their handgun and i am almost positive the "c" stands for compact as it is their smallest handgun. Thanks for the video :)

  • Got mine today and I love it. fits my P-11 perfectly and its so comfortable. Currently @ the 4 o clock position and its a great holster for an amazing price.

  • Do you find that the gun rubs on you body where you cut out the leather? I have a Springfield Armory XD9 sub-compact. Thanks for the excellent review!

  • Great review!! Sadly I live under a rock and just found out about the Kholster while looking for a new IWB setup. It looks like I missed out on every sale but it looks like the holster is worth it. Thanks!

  • They're having a black friday sale. $35 DELIVERED for any model.

  • Hello. Does the leather that extends past the upper belt cause any uncomfortable rubbing on your side? Do you need a undershirt for it to be comfortable? Thanks.

  • gonna order mine next week...thx for the review

  • It has been over a year since you posted this vid. Do you still use/like this holster?

  • @drumgodtim I do liek the holster but dont use it as much due to finding other holsters I like better...But I did go back and use my 1911 one recently for about a week and it was beter suited with the heavier gun

  • @cutlerylover so what other holsters do you use now? Also, how does this compare to the crossbreed supertuck?

  • @cutlerylover OK ,so what are these new holsters you found that you say you like better? I have a G26 as you know is a lighter gun and I'm thinking the Kholster and similar style may be a bit over kill. I'd like to go simpler if the gun is not heavy.

  • @cutlerylover What holster do you currently use most?

    Thanks.

  • @cutlerylover What did you wind up liking better? I've got a CBST and just ordered a Kholster. Just curioisty, I'm always looking for better/more comfortable method of carry.

  • @cutlerylover SInce posting this, what holster do you prefer now?

  • @catfitefan this type gets used half the time but I prefer the IWB holsters made by desantis

  • After watching these videos on this holster, I have to have one! Does anyone have the rebate code for June of 2010? Thanks for all your help!

  • Kholster is way better than Crossbreed for the price. Plus the guy who owns CB is an asshole and acts like he doesnt need your business

  • geez talk about a hell of a guarentee!

  • i love the glock 18

  • Jeff I am looking for a new holster for my Ruger SR9 and I remembered your old vid. Could you please tell me what you think of if now and esp. the full sized one for your 1911 because that is the one that I will be getting. Thanks

  • great review, last vid i needed to see before i make my kholster purchase for my springfield xd sub 9mm

  • A gun is what's between your legs, a weapon is what one carries to defend his/her life.

  • some might say whats between your legs is a weapon, depends what you do with it...

  • @cutlerylover yea, you can fuck up somebody's life with whats between your legs

  • @craigstephenfoulon I believe it goes "This is my rifle and this is my gun.. this is for fucking, and this is for fun"

  • kholster 10% off discount code 01-3007 for 10% off include the code under special instructions on the order page

  • Dude, you either OWN or work for this company!

  • lol, if thats the case I own many companies because I review all ym stuff like this, just want to give as much info as possible...

  • Your review is very good. You're actually being a salesman for this company without pay??! Why?? I would be making a deal with them to at least get a percentage off on your purchases!

  • I reviewed at least 200 thigns on here so far, probably more, no one pays me, I woudnt mind gettign paid, lol but I dont ask for it...

  • you have some nice weaponery here man...i love glocks myself

  • god david lmfao weaponery(ethan talk)

  • _Crossbreed_ holsters actually went after Kholster for design infringement. The Kholster is a quality inexpensive product. Their original design was really good. It is sad that a company like Crossbreed cannot compete in the market without resulting to going after competitors.

  • @mrgraywolf Well they are the ones who first designed this type of holster. I would go after them too if I had solid ground to stand on. If they had a patent on the product then they would. They are a business and for kholster to steal their design and sell it at a fraction of the cost is jewish. My opinion.

  • @mrgraywolf I dont know the history of who invented what first, but ive seen legal threats on message board over a year old and kholster is still selling them. I would think if Crossbreed was the inventor, then they would have everything patented and kholster would already be out of business. on the other hand, if i worked my behind off creating a product, and someone came along with a cheap imitation, i wouldnt sit by and let them suck out the market that I created

  • One more thing, you can ask for a Smoothie Kholster option, where the smooth leather is on the gun side, so you will get less or no holster wear on your holster....

  • wow... i was really worried those guns were loaded... :c/

  • sarcasm? I cant tell from text, sorry

  • Thanks Cut. Great vid and review. I'm going to take advantage of the Christmas special they have going on right now through Wed. Dec. 16. Only $36 shipped!!!

    Sheesh, can't beat that.

  • jeff you always get me to spend money on gear but @ least I know what I am getting after your reviews 5/5

  • God damned Americans, why do you have to rub all those beautiful weapons we're not legally allowed to own in our faces? It's just not fair...

I guess I'll just have to stick to my Flash 2 knife...

  • hey dude why do u make sure that the firearm is clean and safe is not gunna shoot us through the video dude hahahaha lol :)

  • always good to be safe and a clean weapon shoots ha

  • is it possible to get the leather in other colors?

  • Just ordered a Kholster and they are on sale for around $36 and still with free shipping until Decemberr 14th I expect it to work really well with my S&W M&P 9mm compact.

  • My solution was to file the upper trigger guard portion of the kydex to accomodate the middle finger of my shooting hand better. Also, I applied moleskin to the inside of the holster to solve the abrasion problem. This gave the interior of the holster a soft finish and only cost $5.00 at rite aid. These problems may only exist on the GLOCK 27 model of Kholster or maybe just mine. Have you noticed this also? Just a couple of thoughts. Thanks CutleryLover. Keep em commin.

  • Hey CutleryLover,

Great Video. Purchased one recently and I love it. A couple of criticisms tho. One, the gun sits too far into the holster, making it difficult to get a "combat" grip on it, even with the "combat cut" modification. Second, the inside of the kydex portion is abrasive in areas that scratch the finish on the upper portion of the barrel hood, caused by the indention in the kydex for the ejection port. -cont.-

  • This is a semi-strange question, but do you find when carrying IWB you have to buy 1 size up with pants to accomodate, or does it carry well with your normal pants size?

  • soem giuys do, but Im a big guy and already wear pants slightly biger than my waist with a belt that way if I lose ro gain weight I cna still wear the same cloths, I have done that all my life, lol people who buy form fittign clothgin tend to buy more clothing over time...

  • you all know you can order the kholster with the smooth leather side on the gun side, so you dont get holster wear on your gun....and have the rough side on the body side.....and also customer support is very helpful.....and will always reply to emails and what not.....excellent small holster company...

  • lov these holsters.great video

  • I understand, you might be right, I cant spealk to them since I dont own them,...

  • can you shift the holster to a different position on the backing

  • no its riveted, but you use the clip position to adjust the angle and height of the actualy gun...

  • its also really cool that even that you modify the holster its still covered. awesome. 5/5 thanks for the review.

  • man that 1911 is so nice.

  • Man, are that third gun hs40?

  • its a springfield XD40SC, its shoots 40SW rounds...

  • He's from Croatia, that means he'd only recognize it as the HS line of pistols..

Springfield obtained the rights to distribute the HS2000 designed pistols in the U.S. as the XtremeDuty line, so we know them as XD...

    However, Croatia, they're still HS2000

  • That 1911 is sexy.

  • i kinda looks like a tolet seat but i want one lol.

  • question how good is the retention?

  • very good, but it IS an open holster so if completely upside down and shaking it will fall out...with normal carry even bending I have had no probnlems...

  • thanx a bunch will be getting mine soon in the mail ill hit you up with the verdict

  • it seems like the leather would get hot..

  • good on you for showing your firearms as unloaded and clear, way to lead by example to all the people that will see your vids.

i was a bit put off by the size of the holsters but i think im definately going to have to get one for the sig. great review.

  • iuf crossbreded has a patent and this violates it, its up to them to take action, consumers hold no responsability in owning the merchandise...

  • just want to know but why do you always show yourself checking the guns if they are clear

  • it to show proper safety for peopel to see IM handling a safe gun in teh video and for people new to guns to kleep- remebering to check theirs to be sure they dont accidentally fire a round when they dont want to...

  • ok just wanted to know

  • because if he doesn't people will whine in the comments.

  • dude the 1911 is BEAST

  • next holster vid shake it upside down to show retention.

    5/5

    A+

  • that's exactly what it look a crossbreed

  • I'm thinkin that leather is going to be a little hot and..... weird against skin.

  • very interesting holsters, looks very cool jeff, great video.

    Mike

  • Good review. Just seems like the backing is too large to me. I do like the adjust-ability though. Crossbreed SuperTuck's look more appealing to me other than their weird belt clips. Since you can buy a Kholster for a great price if you live in the St. Louis area, which i do, I may have to try one.

  • I agree with the backing. Milt Sparks makes a good one also if you can find it. Pricey but awsome. Versa Max 2

  • Good review. Might have to buy that small moon for my LCP. Thanks for the info.

  • Thanks Jeff. I think you may have something here. I've carried 1911's for over ten years now, many different ways, and I have to say, every method was some kind of compromise. These kholsters look like they could offer the best of everything. Comfort, speed, and concealment. Very interesting. I'll keep you posted.

  • Or just buy a supertuck deluxe and then you don't have to modify it :) Great review though.

  • interesting how vis plastik holsters shaped for the gun i think if som boady wants make holster its can be dan

  • *facepalm*

  • that 1911 is beautiful

  • Try a Cross Breed Super Tuck. Is is going to be a higher quality and has a life time guarantee.

  • Very good vid my friend how would you compare to the m-tac & supertuck???

  • That would probably be a good holster to start with. You can adjust it to find what angle etc. fits your needs and then get a more minimalist design. I don't know what your daily routine looks like but I would be inclined to add some sort of a "snap" for weapon retention while running/bending over or doing something that might make it loosen up. Really depends on what you need the gun for though... Nice video, as always, dude. Cheers!

  • lol, you have a pocket for demonstration purposes :D Thats awesome

  • Aw man the iron cross is so damn cool D:

  • hahahaha thats good lol

  • Great job on the video! Its a really great product.

  • there is a hobo out there somewhere wearing a pair of pants missing the right pocket lol

  • You would have been better off sending your money to Crossbreed Holsters, which are the folks who created this design, rather than spending money on ebay crap. That 1911 "kholster" is so ridiculously large....

  • It comes like that so everyone can cut it to size

  • i totally feel like this would pull my pants down if i just wore a belt....maybe some suspenders underneath my shirt or something would help...

  • ok im not gonna say much other than cutlery lover has mentioned dry firing and he has snap caps ...a gun was meant to shoot which means the firing pin is being used by dry firing there is only air which means its doing wat its supposed to with out a bullet...ive done my homework maybe you should also...its a myth..dry firing will NOT DAMAGE the gun

  • Comment removed

  • it REALLY depends on the gun, i "shattered" my firing pin on my beretta 21A by dry firing. and i KNOW that it is not good to do on many other firearms. some are ok to do it with but some are not

  • .... as others have said, it depends on the gun.

  • so it goes from...dry firingi bad to it depe4nds on the gun? well u might be right ...i dont believe so for the glock but hey whatever

  • Glock, Springfield XD's and similar striker fired models are safe to dry fire(they're designed for it and frankly, you can't get those guns apart without dry firing them).

However, guns like the Kel-Tecs and similar models it maybe harmful dry-firing, especially repeatedly.

I.E. The Kel-Tec p11, without a snap cap, the only thing stopping the firing pin is the retaining bolt, as a result, the bolt and the firing pin both will be damaged by dry firing.

  • ahhh i seee...good to know thx buddy!

  • ... as an aside, it is the same with the p3at, No dry firing for that little bad boy either(without a snap cap).

  • At first the thing looks awkward as hell, but once you got to explaining it it seems like a great holster.

  • Great review Jeff! Thank you

  • Five Stars!!

  • i just realized you sound almost exactly like vince vaughn or however you spell it

  • Great video! I've had my kholster for a few weeks now and have been wearing it 14 hours a day. Sometimes you can forget you're even wearing it. The weight and bulk of the gun just disappears. I like the fact that you can make the modifications you want instead of getting a generic design. I would definitely recommend this holster to anyone. Only $45 shipped too! By far the best value holster out there!

  • Just as a little side note, the screw goes into a nut, called a blind mans nut. Just because you don't have to hold the nut to tighten the screw

  • hahah nice

  • Maybe I should check one out for the Kel-Tec p-11...

That one model number that says P9, should actually be PF-9... No such thing as a P9 from Kel-Tec..

  • what did you use to make your cuts on the leather

  • some shears I got from countycomm, review coming..

  • Fantastic review I have to check that out! Those grips look familiar.LOL Have you done a review on the 1911? 5*s. Thanks.

  • haha, no review on the 1911 yet...well I might have talked about it when I got it, but no official review, but for the price the RIA's are a great value!

  • This may sound stupid .. But would it hurt if that thing you pull back to cock the gun to check it for bullets ... if it snapped back on your finger by it's self? I've never handled a gun before is why i'm asking.

  • Yes, it would hurt.

  • yes it woudl pinch me, but it has never happened before...

  • RS... if the slide snaps foward and ur finger is in the way it would most likely take some skin with it. but neone who has ne sense about guns would never place their finger there...also between ur thumb and index....the slide on some guns can come really close on a higher grip.

  • @RSCheman49 it would hurt, yeah, but that would be very unlikely to happen.

  • What kind of editing software do you use?

  • windows movie maker I think

  • windows movie maker, a free version...

  • dude are you rich?

  • beleive it or not, no I actually pretty poor, lol, I mena for an adult my income is less than $5000 a year...I just happen to still live with my parents so I have no morage or rent which helps...

  • @cutlerylover Do you only work part time, and or go to school?

  • I just work part time, no schooling right now...when the mail is put out for the day there is nothgin I cna do until later when I sometiems drive the out going mail down to the main facility about 40 minutes away...but I dont do that everyday...

  • Wait, previously u said your income was $700 a month but now your saying your income is less than $5000 a year ? Don't get me wrong i'm just confused.

  • $700 before tax may be.

  • all depends on my hours, some days I work for 2 hours, some days its 5, on top of that last year I was off 2 months for my eye injury, I also get paid by check with no taxes taken out, its my job to pay taxes sepratly...the average monht I make between $400-$700 but last year my income was $4800 after taxes...

  • Well anyways thanks for the good reviews and i truly appreciate them :D

  • Those look extremely uncomfortable

  • buy one and try it out, very comfortable, if you dotn like it return it for a full refund no questions asked...

  • i would have made that exact same mod.. if you were in a hurry to get your gun out your thumb could easily get stuck there. great review i think ill buy one

  • i just have to say nice 1911 i the the shinigami (death god/grim reaper) graphic on the handle nice i like it =)

  • Oh, and the mod you made to your kholster is what Crossbreed calls a "combat grip"... price seems much better on the Kholster... I might check one out. thanks for the review btw.

  • gonna have to check on this i been looking for a nice inside the waistband holster for my glock but im a bigger guy also

  • Seems like a rip off of a Crossbreed Supertuck... have you tried a Supertuck?

  • yeah half the price, just as good.

  • I was going to buy one befroe I saw this...I still may get one to review down the road, but for now this is working for me...

  • I checked them out and was actually interested enough to order one for my XDsc which I carry the most... pretty much half the price of the supertuck with shipping... if this works just as good as the supertuck (i've fallen asleep all night wearing it and forgot I had it on in the morning... well almost, i remembered i had it on by didnt really feel it) then i think i might switch to kholster... money talks right

  • My question's this... How's the gun to get back into the holster? I really like the idea of the holster, but would re-concealing it be an issue? Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely? I don't have my CCW yet, but I do plan on getting one eventually.

  • very easy, I think takingf the holster on and off by desing is a bit of a paoin for big guys, but gettign the gun in and out of the holster once on id a breeze...

  • Thanks for the reply! I've got about the same build you do (from what I can tell), so hearing that is really promising.

  • I Kind of agree with you. USPS is faster than UPS. It used to be the other way around a while ago.

  • USPS rocksm if your shipping somethgin small and or light, if you go heavy or really just need good tracking UPS wins hands down, lol

  • At first look at this thing I thought it was terrible, but after the review I must say you sold me on it.

  • Great review. You might want to change out the tee-nuts for stainless steel .

  • You just introduced a brand new company to me- Thanks. I've got 89 days to get my ccw squared away before I get my permit so I will have to try this one. I wonder if the mid-size holster would hold both the Glock 27 and 23...

  • like last time, i must say again I LOVE YOUR 1911 :D

  • Good job on the modifications. In its original form, its HUGE... looks like it would be hot. I like the M-Tac. After much trial and error, it is the best I have found.

  • the handle/grip on the 1911 looks badass.

  • I use hand lotion to break-in leather. Softens the leather right up!

  • Nice looking piece of kit, I suppose the comfort aspect is a good selling point. I would say it would avoid snagging on a shirt too, if you had your shirt behind it and a jacket over the top.

  • i hope your telling the truth lol thx

  • Dude this is incredibly helpful. In the process of getting my CCW and wanting to carry my full size 1911. Everyone I've talked to says this style is really the best for it. I've been looking into others that I'm sure you researched as well. I'll definitely be picking one of these up. Thank you!

Oh also the modification you made another popular manufacturer actually charges extra for! So happy I can do a custom cut on that one and keep the warranty.

  • you coult also just find the mag release and then just drill a small hole that way the hole covers the button and it wont come out as easy..

  • What profession do you hold in the postal industry?

  • Cutlerymaster of the postieness

  • I work for a private contracer that holds multiple postal contracts, I sort mail for my local community and althougn I have to follow the same rules as postal workers in the US I am self employed on paper...and do not work directly for the post office...

  • this is the best holster i have ever seen !!

  • Jeff, the modified one looks much better! They look very rigid.

  • Im pretty sure those thick washers go between the clips and the leather backing to have more room for a tucked shirt.

Atleast thats how my Crossbreed Supertuck is.

  • i shoot my baseball gloves with my slingshot to brake it in
