Other than I am a big stoner doom fan, I am a HUGE tone/gear head. and this tone seriously fucking growls! I wanna run it with my Sovtek MIG-60 or my Marshall Super Lead!!
No they don't. Only 5 were made a few years back. 2 of them went for a contest in the UK and the other 3 came to me in North America. and i've sold them since. Sorry.
But if you like the tone of the GT4 you will definitely like the new Minimat 3G or the Mini-Rock which is similar to the GT4. I will get soundclips posted as soon as i get my hands on one of each of the 4 new Minimats.
@psichomiko 'Boogyin with Mr Bill and Bigfoot in Elvis' UFO on the top o' good ol' Candy Mountain'- by SATAN'S BAKE SALE.....dude did u really think that was a relevant song?
@pisauraXTX the "volume" knob is preamp volume/traditional gain the "master" knob is the poweramp volume/tradition volume. but either will give you distortion, just varying degrees and different sounds.
I have been dreaming about owning one of these amps for since I started playing guitar when I was a kid. This is the guitar tone I dream of. ...one day I will own one.
@OpieCavalera2 Saint Vitus didn't invent any kind of genre either. Black Sabbath did. That is, if you are talking Stoner Doom. Doom Metal in general was also established by them though, but became darker with bands such as Saint Vitus and Trouble
man i totally agree.. have you seen the video hank iii "doom jam" thats the most epic sound i've ever heard and been tryin like hell to emulate it!!! if you check out some of my "southern sludge doom riff" videos i get kinda close i think but not exactly there!
just played with a pop punk band who had one of these (i call fives). i can imagine you could get a close tone to that of boston's guitar players. i love they're tone and have yet to find an amp to get it close. anyways, these amps sound incredible. also check out morgan amps.
@queteimportaguey The original Orange amps were made by Matamp for the Orange music shop in London back in 1968. Peter Green was a famous user of the original Matamp's Series 2000 on which the early Orange amps were based. If you look at the early Orange amps they actually have Matamp on the faceplate google "gibson matamp page" to see Jimmy Page's.
Matamp offer all kinds of custom options, go to their website and check out the gallery section

08motorizer 2 weeks ago
@08motorizer why not ? this way you can have great tube tones at low volume in your house or apartment without annoying the neighbors.

@adam79adam79 I realize that you don't need a Green to play stoner rock, but I like the model all the same.
