Practico el budismo de Nichiren en Brasil (BSGI). Lo encontré interesante aproximación a la fuente. Se ocupan en mayor profundidad la relación de la existencia humana y la angustia.
En Brasil, en lugares que conozco, me doy cuenta de que la práctica está más enfocado a las necesidades más inmediatas de la vida como el trabajo, la consolidación económica y algo.

This is a moot point, regarding the sun goddess. You see she was already depicted on the Dai Gohonzon as a shoten zenjin, therefore it was not needed for a statue. It is a honor to be a member of SGI having a mentor like Daisaku Ikeda. I'm gratefull for his work which has let me grasp the essence of Buddhism, and with me, many others scholars that by reading his books and knowing his behavior as a man of peace, have to learn the meaning of SGI.

8) Comprensión Intuitiva (engaku): es una condición similar a la de Aprendizaje,²pero lo que los diferencia es que, en el estado de Comprensión Intuitiva, en vez de intentar aprender de lo que lograron los antecesores, uno trata de dominar el proceso de la propia transformación mediante la observación directa de los fenómenos.
9) Bodhisattva (bosatsu): es un estado signado por la misericordia, en el que el individuo se dedica a la felicidad de los demás, aunque ello implique sacrificios
Aprendizaje, por el contrario, es una condición que se experimenta cuando uno lucha por un estado de satisfacción y estabilidad, mediante la reforma y el desarrollo de la propia vida. Concretamente, shomon es la condición en la que uno se dedica a forjar una vida mejor, aprendiendo de las ideas, el conocimiento y las experiencias de sus antecesores y contemporáneos.
6) Éxtasis (ten): «la dicha es el estado de Éxtasis». Esta es una condición en la que existen el contento y la alegría por haberse liberado del sufrimiento, y la satisfacción de haber concretado algún deseo.
7) Aprendizaje (shomon): los seis estados anteriores, desde Infierno hasta Éxtasis, surgen por el imperio de los impulsos o deseos, pero quedan bajo el absoluto control de las restricciones que les impone el entorno y son extremadamente vulnerables a las diferentes circunstancias.
4) Ira (shura): «la perversidad es el estado de Ira». Consciente de su propio yo, pero dominado por el egoísmo, uno es incapaz de comprender las cosas como son y menosprecia y agrede la dignidad de los demás.
5) Humanidad (nin): «El verdadero objeto de veneración» estipula que «la calma es el estado de Tranquilidad». En este estado, en que uno es capaz de controlar temporariamente sus deseos e impulsos mediante la razón, se puede vivir una vida pacífica, en armonía con el entorno y personas
2) Hambre (gaki): en el mismo tratado se lee: «la codicia es el estado de Hambre». En esta condición, uno está sometido a un insaciable deseo egoísta de riquezas, fama y placer, que jamás puede ser enteramente satisfecho.
) Animalidad (chikusho): también el tratado se refiere a esta condición y dice que «la estupidez es el estado de Animalidad». Cuando está presente, uno se deja llevar por el impulso de los deseos e instintos, pues carece de la sabiduría para controlarse.

Daisaku Ikeda has never said a word against the death penalty that is in Japan.Soka Gakkai has the political party called Komeito who has been the "king maker" at the last election won by Kaizumi government who endorse Bush's wars worldwide.

I agree, and I add, everyone has the right to choose their own path and what is important most of all is the behavior of each one, because, no matter what one declares as his beliefs, it is his acts what shows his intentions.
There are two crucial social aspects of Buddhism. One is the sangha, the community of believers. The other is the shared resolve of mentor and disciple to attain self-mastery and exert themselves for the happiness of others. SGI did not make this up. It was like this in Shakyamuni's lifetime. Of course people need to chart their own course through life, but solipsism is another matter. We sometimes need the encouragement of others. We also need others to help us see when we are going wrong.

It is a honor to be a member of SGI having a mentor like Daisaku Ikeda. I'm gratefull for his work which has let me grasp the essence of Buddhism, and with me, many others scholars that by reading his books and knowing his behavior as a man of peace, have to learn the meaning of SGI.

What a joyful to have this kind of detractor, just a racist who call himself a "white" (being japanese) and hating chinese and koreans, what a peace of work you are halperinn nikken's priest. Yet, there is Soka Gakkai to give shelter to any kind of human beings all around the world: asian, american, european, african. We ALL are human beings sharing the same troubles and the same happiness. It is a shame and a pity to have such a "cult mind" as halperinn has.

Excelente exposición de un excelente concepto que SGI ha transmitido por todo el mundo. Este budismo que el maestro Ikeda tan bien expone, no se cierra: abre posibilidades a todo el que quiera abrazarlo y complementa y añade y dota, no restringe, no limita: todo ello está en la mente de cada cual. Daisaku Ikeda has written around 50 books and many peace proposals; he has pronounced in many times against everything that comes in detriment of humanity, it's funny but liers are most of times also ignorants. One who is trying to be a better person, is always seeking truth, reading good works, and of course, doing something valuable for others not jus trying to destroy anything. Honestly, you should read at least one of the books of Dr. Daiseku Ikeda because Giovannisenzaterra, you just don't know anything about him. What you say is fiction and slander. President Ikeda is always remarking the importance of Buddhism in society, meaning in our behavior. You have no basis at all for what you affirm.

Daisaku Ikeda has never said a word against the death penalty that is in Japan.Soka Gakkai has the political party called Komeito who has been the "king maker" at the last election won by Kaizumi government who endorse Bush's wars worldwide.

Ikeda's abhorrence for homicide of all kinds is well known. He and Arnold Toynbee addressed the death penalty at some length in their dialogue "Choose Life". One moment you are denouncing Ikeda for not getting involved in Japanese politics and then you condemn him for doing so. But your facts are wrong. Komeito is not controlled by the Soka Gakkai. It rightly lost a lot of support among Soka Gakkai members over its compromise with Koizumi over sending troops to Iraq.

There are two crucial social aspects of Buddhism. One is the sangha, the community of believers. The other is the shared resolve of mentor and disciple to attain self-mastery and exert themselves for the happiness of others. SGI did not make this up. It was like this in Shakyamuni's lifetime. Of course people need to chart their own course through life, but solipsism is another matter. We sometimes need the encouragement of others. We also need others to help us see when we are going wrong.

Although they have never met, President Ikeda and the Dalai Lama do have some contact with each other. The Dalai Lama respects Pres. Ikeda's activities and I'm sure this is reciprocated. I'm quite sure there is no sectarian nonsense going on if that's what is worrying you.

Une grande révolution dans la vie d'une personne peut modifier la destinée de l'humanité et de la planète entière.
