Tao's amazingly fast and combo-y, but fragile. She's a great character, but you're gonna need to practice a lot to use her well. Bang's the same way, albiet slower.

I adore Tao. Arakune's my main, but for some reason Tao's balance and combo strings make me think of good ol' Bridget, which is good in ANYONE'S book.

Ironically, Litchi is pretty similar in concept to Bridget and I don't like her at all.

I'm a Taokaka main, and I despise Litchi. She's midtier, and yet a lot of her stuff is seriously safe -- especially against Tao. It seems like she's mid tier for the simple fact that her combos only do 2k damage -- which I think is an excuse with little merit.

Both are definitely skill characters. Tao you need to master those long and difficult combos to make up for her weakness, and Bang just... unfortunately... sucks. Major props to Dora for getting so much mileage out of him.

Fio initiates his Tao combos with two 2a - which is approximately 60% proration per hit. He would get an extra 1k damage if he starts his combos with 5b - and he could really beef up his damage if he lands the taunt combos. :(

Why do you think proration exists? It's so that moves that are easier to hit with, will do less damage. You think Fio is going to have an easy time landing combos starting with 5B on Dora?

Sorry, I worded that a little different from what I intended it to be. He can initiate the combo after landing a 2a -> 5b -> 3c. Since 5b has a 6 frame start up with a 91.5% proration - and 2a has 5 or 6 frames - he can land the combo with a 2.8k damage output instead of a 2k.

All his normals and combos work on Taokaka, you probably put the input in when she was backdashing or recovering.

j.c -> 5b -> 6a -> JC -> 2d~b -> taunt -> ....

There's a few variations to the taunt combo. But because it does positive proration (150%), all damage that follows the taunt will give you extra damage. Most Taunt combos range from 3.5k-4.2k damage.
