They have transposed it down a tone.

Also i'm playing this at the moment and recon my orchestra play it better :P

@Oblivion1music You are oblivious to the fact that band transcriptions are often transposed because many keys are awkward on wind instruments! It's not in the wrong keys, doubledumb. The performance is excellent - let's hear your stupid-ass orchestra play it.

@maestrojimbo I'll just let you reflect on the fact that you've sunk low enough to insult someone over the internet, especially on a comment left over 2 years ago. Next, the orchestra (original) version is higher than this and so this does differ from the original key of A (or B for trumpet), which are not difficult keys. As a trumpet player, you should be able to overcome difficult keys. Finally I said at the beginning that it was good, i just thought a group I was with could play it better.

You're probably wrong. There are many, mostly Grammy Award-Winning High School Orchestras in the U.S. that can do just as well.

I know of at least two that can rival this performance.

One of my favourite pieces of music, and played like it should. I first heard this played by an army band and it made the hairs stand on my neck!

我覺得第一屆管樂節請來的中村学園女子高等学校管樂隊所演奏的F­estival Overture比較好些. 希望有機會再次看到. 亦希望閣下有空可以把管樂節的其他比賽及大匯演演出樂曲(包括M­arching band)一一上載.我相信很多人都想重溫這些片段的. 祝你復活節快樂!^.^
