there's a difference between 2 years and 2.9 years. Driving horse start at 2 years. And we did teach them at 2.5 years. This was a small competition indoors to learn for the young stallion. It took only 3 minutes indoor and take turns and some turn we took wide and drive long lines.
Hardly so, poptart. Horses can be started at age two for anything. Their bones are fused by then. They aren't carrying and weight so driving isn't hard on them. They're only running around, something they do in the fields anyway! Unless, of course, your horses live in stalls. THAT'S animal abuse.
