  • If is Yaw Damper on and you're turning with ailerons, you don't have to use rudder pedals? Is that true? Thx

  • Correct! In a commercial jet you don't use the pedals except for take-off and landing and single engine flight (in the sim only with any luck!) although a lot of jets now have a rudder channel in the autopilot for engine failure situations.

  • It's Schiphol not Schipol

  • excelent simulator !

  • Nice landing ....

  • Very nice touch and go...

  • i am 16 and got to go into the 737-800 continental sims... man it is a blast you did a great job!

  • i like ur landing mate!! good one!

  • WOW!! :l amazing much :O!!!

  • Damn this shit is boss... When i'm rich i'm so spending the 12mill euros on this xD

  • Are you working for an airline now? if so did you get type rated before or after you were employed?

  • Well, until you can afford the real training, there is something called "Multi Crew Experience" that will let you pretend for a while that you are in the game. It works with FSx and FS9.

Google will probably find it for you!

  • seriously i dont know what i should do...

    i want to become rich...

yet i want to be a pilot...

    what should i be?

  • Easy, get rich buy a plane...

  • how old are and what kind of plane flyer do you want to be i want to fly in raf be you need to work had in school 5gcse in science 4 in maths and 2 in english

btw the pay for a jet fighter is about 30k a year

  • cool , thanx for the nice video , wish to u the good luck

  • my best aircraft, thx for te video cpt, ope u've already done ur type rating..

Mjksoccer, i dnt think that theres is available in Montreal this sim, i already asked, but u can find in other places in Canada..but if u find something near please advise.

  • 0:47 and 4:05 pilot on the left is turning a switch on the upper-center panel. is that auto-pilot settings ? Pilot on the right seems to still fly the plane at the time ?

    cool video.

  • The pilot on the left is assisting me (on the right). When the autopilot is not engaged the pilot flying the plane keeps his hands on the controls at all times and directs any knob turning through the other pilot. The knob you refer to sets the target speed bug. Everytime I want to adjust speed I first ask him to set a speed with the bug, then I adjust the thrust with the left hand to obtain that speed.

  • This is a simulator in The Netherlands close to the city The Hague/Zoetermeer. The person who own this simulators is a brother of a friend of my...! :D

  • No single person owns this simulator - it isn't FSX !! This Sim is worth around 12 Million Euro! This does however belong to a company in the Netherlands, and it's located in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam Schipol.

  • So cool.. when I grow up, I want to be a pilot..

  • Hey Windnoob, the idea is you become a pilot so you don't have to grow up!! :-) It's great - do it as soon as you can!

  • Hey. thanks for the reply =)

I really wanna be a pilot.. It's just an awesome feeling.

  • im more concerned about my life than feelings :P

  • Huh? :p

  • @windnoob me too dude

  • someone know where i can find this at montreal Canada ?

  • Nice video but why Avril im Canadian. I dont like her music but shes very good looking :-)

  • Ryanair? Nice approach.. there's no real base leg though..? Though i suppose it would be tougher to make a good finals turn and line up properly

  • Yes if you look it's a pretty constant 30 degree AoB turn all the way round - any suggestion of a base leg with this sort of thing would take us through the centreline since we can't bank more than 30 degrees. The base training preparation is taught this way - never really been sure of the need for a 'base' anyway - the RAF don't sign up to it.

  • from an ATCO point of view you need a base leg to do accurate spacing ...

  • I can see the advantage if you're entering an aircraft under radar control into an active approach lane to land but if the aircraft is bashing the circuit, separation is purely the pilots concern in a 'visual' pattern.

  • Think the idea with this profile is to stay close in to the airport to remain in good visual contact and whether you need to fly a 'base' or not would depend on the wind. A normal visual approach on the line would usually have a hint of base thrown in for good measure. Do you have a General Aviation background? There the square circuit is King I know!! lol

  • Ah yeah, didn't really see that.. is it around 3 miles around it? No green circle (fix page thing?) though! And ah yes, was going to mentioned the 'oval' military circuits ;) And yep quite a few hours PPL.. i've noticed at Liverpool when Ezy & Ryr are doing visual approaches (latley ILS been U/S) they will do a "normal" circuit ;) Are you a current line pilot?

  • Range rings are always used on the line yes, we use them for situational awareness, but again, this was training, and in the sim. I've worked from Liverpool and seem to remember they love a good visual! The advice I got was "if you wang it round the back of the Runcorn bridge ya can't go far wrong!!" and it works for 27!

  • It's worth diferentiating between 'Visual Circuits' and a 'Visual Approach'. What you see in this vid is Circuits and what you see the line pilot's conducting is a 'Visual Approach' where the aim is to get into a position from which you can safely make an approach. Basically you don't need to follow a procedure. Circuits are obviously multiple touch and go landings and only occur during training and this is the way it's done for training. Yes i'm a current line pilot.

  • quiero uno para mi casa

  • how fun!

  • hey how much can i get one of dese for?

  • At least be bothered to read the other comments below - the answer lies within!!

  • In a simulator like that do they have a pressurized cabin? I mean like in a real airplane when you're ears hurt?

  • No they don't, when they simulate a decompression they just make the instruments indicate one and there's a loud noise if it's an explosive or rapid one.

  • luck you guys :D

  • Song?

  • It's 'Hot' by Avril Lavigne - saw her live in Birmingham 30th May, truly awesome!! Did you like or cringe?? She's a bit like Marmite i'm told from people on the other side of the fence.

  • how much it`s to try it?

  • About £70,000 to get this far. Probably around £500 for an amateur hour. There are cheaper simulators, this one cost the company concerned around 12 million quid!! There's a 727 and a 737-200 at Bournemouth Airport that are probably available, get in touch with European Aviation there for a trial flight.

  • very good, professional-looking. nice approach !

  • nice touch-n-go

    you´re good!!

  • Hi mate!!! Do not overcontrol!!!!!!!

    See u at EMA!

  • A bit different from doing circuits at Old Sarum !!!!!!!!
