If i was having trouble choosing between these 2 cars.... after watching this video.. I'd be on my way to the Jaguar Dealer!! First time the M5 driver was scared :)

Would like to see a modified G8 GXP, CTS-V, CHARGER/300C Srt8, and the older but still sexy STS-V run against these germans

The Jag would have won if both cars launched when even. You can obviously see the Jag was at least 20 feet behind the M5 before the race commenced. Jag has 510 hp @ 520 lb/ft torque whilst the M5 has 500 hp @ 368 lb/ft torque.
Put in mind that this a touring version of the M5, if it was a sedan M5 it would have had a significant win over the Jag. so a sedan vs. sedan M5 wins hands down.

@DonBayrak Yeah if the XFR has a higheer supercharger pressure it can easily have 600 hp. Also The XFR is a car for everyday driving, a car with comfort. A G-Power M3 or M5 cannot be compared with a XFR which is a comfort car with a little sport accent. The M3 or M5 is worth it if u go on the racetrack every week.

The XFR is a little heavier (steel body XF vs aluminium on XK) but I think if you were to run a fair comparison i.e not have the XFR more than half a car length behind the M5, the result here would have been different.

Whats with the head start - Jag driver probably new he was faster so gave him a bit. There are some 3rd and 4th gear roll on tests up to 250 where the Jag pulls up to 7 car lengths - torque wins races!!

Jag is the original Sportsd Sedan (has been since the late 60's). Bmw came on the scene (as a sports sedan) in the 80's with the m cars. Jag has took back it's crown.

The BMW guys always pull up to the restaurant wearing loafers with no socks; the effeminate types. Jag is 100x better looking and the performance between the two is too close to call, so I'll take the Jag all day long. Do BMW drivers ever bother to use turn signals or does the world revolve around them and their cell phone conversations - I have to flip off at least three BMW yuppies per week.

The only BS here is on the video. The XFR is faster than the M5 in a straight line, plus the moderator of this channel is biased towards BMWs, they always win in his videos. The Jag is better as an overall car, the M5 has performance, but not much else. They would be damn near a nightmare to own unless you are super rich, the price to maintain these vehicles goes heavily to the Jag's favour, their pricing on repairs & insurance has gone down over recent years, plus it's a lot more comfortable.
You cant explain better than that..I own a 05 Acura TL and its a great affordable car. I was never a Jag fan but jumped on the band wagon because the major improvements they made on the car (its a ford? I dont know if its reliable). But I love the look and happy they stepped up in the market and give BMW a run for there money. JAG in this video is by far the better car. BMW is just a name, again they make good cars but now you have other car companies like ford step up to the plate.

Whats with the head start - Jag driver probably new he was faster so gave him a bit. There are some 3rd and 4th gear roll on tests up to 250 where the Jag pulls up to 7 car lengths - torque wins races!!

if the both car stock the jaguar will be a little faster than m5 in acceleration
But, if there is not limit speed for both car the m5 will be faster in the top speed because it has 7 speed gear box

THE XF HITS 60 IN 4.5s M5 4.8s any time you have a car that is lighter have more horse power WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT i give credit 2 the m5 iTs sharper and it is a top end car it will scream to 10,000 rpm easy because of that it has a low torque rating and its heavy the jag is faster to 60 and quarter mile 2 its equipped with a supercharger which basically means you get 510 hp all day every day at any time any where at any rpm and any rev a normally aspirated m5 gets 500 hp reach at 8500 rpm

Jag is the original Sportsd Sedan (has been since the late 60's). Bmw came on the scene (as a sports sedan) in the 80's with the m cars. Jag has took back it's crown.

bmw says that the m5 needs 4.7 sec to get from 0 to 100 and jag says that the xfr needs 4.9 but that jag is faster then the ecu tuned m5

no jaguar say its need 4.7 seconds to 60,the jag xk supercharged took 4.9 seconds.this is the XFR version with a new 5L v8

AUTOCAR tested XFR and M5 and they said xfr much much faster than m5 in straight race and so on. and this vid shows TUNED M5 VS STOCK XFR but xfr closely same runnig kkkkk ugly m5

The BMW guys always pull up to the restaurant wearing loafers with no socks; the effeminate types. Jag is 100x better looking and the performance between the two is too close to call, so I'll take the Jag all day long. Do BMW drivers ever bother to use turn signals or does the world revolve around them and their cell phone conversations - I have to flip off at least three BMW yuppies per week.

What a load of BS. The M5 was introduced in 2005... pretty pathetic that a 2009 500+ bhp jag can't beat it. I'm pretty sure that on a track the BMW would smoke that jag even more. And you probably can't stand BMW drivers because you cant afford one yourself.

The only BS here is on the video. The XFR is faster than the M5 in a straight line, plus the moderator of this channel is biased towards BMWs, they always win in his videos. The Jag is better as an overall car, the M5 has performance, but not much else. They would be damn near a nightmare to own unless you are super rich, the price to maintain these vehicles goes heavily to the Jag's favour, their pricing on repairs & insurance has gone down over recent years, plus it's a lot more comfortable.

You cant explain better than that..I own a 05 Acura TL and its a great affordable car. I was never a Jag fan but jumped on the band wagon because the major improvements they made on the car (its a ford? I dont know if its reliable). But I love the look and happy they stepped up in the market and give BMW a run for there money. JAG in this video is by far the better car. BMW is just a name, again they make good cars but now you have other car companies like ford step up to the plate.
