@jumpinj2000 usually varies from 15%-85% i think for this tutorial i had it close to 50%..? but that's just a guess. its best to draw a little with a percentage and see how you like it. Just play around with it :)
yeah usually, unless i want to do some subtle shading, but if u set the brush options on pen pressure. that helps alot when u want to use it lightly and dont wan to change the opacity. hope that makes sense.
yeah I still use cs2, I'm comfortable with it, and as far as I know cs3 or 4 isn't really that much different for what I use it for. I've seen a bunch of artists still using photoshop 7 and making images that look way better than mine. So I think its all what your comfortable with.
yeah, the older ones would be less id imagine. if you want to draw digitally, itd also be good to get a digital tablet. like from wacom or theres other companys that have cheaper ones
could you direct me to some other tutorials? this ones really decent. apart from the fact we saw the finished pic for a fraction of a second, the final product is obviously amazing. its a really good beginning, maybe you could slow down the beginning of each major feature (eyes, nose) because anyone can touch up when they have a good base of a feature, but its a lot harder just to begin. really nice. peace.
whats your flow for your brush?
