@dbagtoolfan Yes the red Dean was one of 100 so theres only a very select few that have ever played that guitar and the black jack was a brilliant guitar too. The ML on the other hand didn't sound to different but in ya hands there was no comparison. It was so hard to play. The Dean played itself but the price tag on both was in the $4000 mark so really they should. :-)

it doesnt matter what brand so dont hate on dean, it matters what pickups your able to put in them. and what kind of tremelo system and neck you have other than that really not a difference

the bill lawrence and washburn produce a sound that the cameras microphone cannot interprete :) in to electric signal :)..and starts the honk. so the sound must be much more crushing than we hear here. I think the washburn guitars are really understated. they make highest quality electrics and acoustics. And when Dime was Dime he was using Washburn guitars - Bill Lawrence pickups - Randall Amps and not Dean-Seymour Duncan and Krank.. I mean the music we like was done by with first group.

On the Bill Lawrence USA models the space between blades and housing is filled up with rasin. this one is not,like B&B model. But It seems dime used them both. Anyways they should be the same or pretty similar as both are designed by the same man. Just one is not produced by him anymore but should be the same specs. yesterday I purchased A B&B L500XL :)..before the man leaves this world as he is 70

Washburn was way better and as far as the putting the dimebucker in the cheap piece of shit dean there was a little difference not much though it's a good alternative to save money but I'd personally spend the extra hundred.

I have a Washburn Dime3 dimeslime and they have the bill lawrence pickups and that's the real dime sound, not the the new deans that they make, the Washburn's are way better, and it's got the Duncan 59 neck pickup, I don't know what they put in the dean version for that but, the Washburn's are the original and first endorsed guitars he had, I think there way better than the deans.

Dime's first guitar was a dean, and he left washburn(so called real dime guitar) and signed a contract with dean. Dime ALWAYS liked dean. And being with dean was ALWAYS dimebag's dream. Hey guys I dig the review. I own a Krank Rev + myself and I thought you guys did the amp some justice. I still dont understand why some people think the Kranks sound bad... I guess they just dont take the time to dial in the sweet spots. Anyways I dont know if this would be of interest to you guys at all but heres the exact settings Dime used to record Damageplans "New Found Power."

Presence: 7, Sweep: 2, Bass: 5, Mid: 3, Treble: 7, Master 2: 6, Gain: 9.

I find the sound of the krank dosen't come across well on this vid compared to what it actually sounded like in the room. When I was filming this video the 4x12 cab was right behind my back. Palm muting bits were like someone kiking u in ya back!

@BurstMan26 If I'm not mistaken, Dime used a his Randall's to record that album. He started using the Kranks a few months before he died after the Damageplan tour had started.
