Behold my 2 cents: What does Enis mean by "Jack, I swear"? Will we ever know? Does it matter? I read somewhere that this is a story about two souls falling in love. I really agree wtih that. It's not about homosexuality, though the social taboo provides conflict and drama. It's about the heartbreakingly deep bond between two people. I think that part of the film's magic is that we will never really understand how deep that bond is. The last line reflects that lack of understanding perfectly.

The lap steel guitar work on this song is amazing. I don't know what it is about slide guitar, at the same time it's haunting, distant and eerie; it's mesmerizing, close and moving. From delta blues men who use it to country and western songs, always is the focal point of emotion for me.

Behold my 2 cents: What does Enis mean by "Jack, I swear"? Will we ever know? Does it matter? I read somewhere that this is a story about two souls falling in love. I really agree wtih that. It's not about homosexuality, though the social taboo provides conflict and drama. It's about the heartbreakingly deep bond between two people. I think that part of the film's magic is that we will never really understand how deep that bond is. The last line reflects that lack of understanding perfectly.

At first i used think "Ha gay cowboys that's so funny." But i took the time to watch it till the end and it's beautiful and sad but fantastic! I now respect this movie and it has also helped me too respect gays even more :)

The lap steel guitar work on this song is amazing. I don't know what it is about slide guitar, at the same time it's haunting, distant and eerie; it's mesmerizing, close and moving. From delta blues men who use it to country and western songs, always is the focal point of emotion for me.
