  • Everytime that song comes on, my stomach DROPS. This movie blew me away...

  • Brokeback Mountain moment of the week... lol

  • Is this the same music that plays when they first travel up the mountain with the sheep near the start? It sounds different.

  • i love this movie, this movie will stay forever in my memory.

    eu te amo heath

  • i've never seen this movie but i'm not a homophobe or anything but my dad tried to watch this and he couldn't sit through it all

  • @1997goblue ...curious, why not?

  • @mygirlruth i don't know i hear its a great movie and everything but i tried watching it but the guys kissing is a lil too much for me but i will try to watch some day

  • @1997goblue

That's ok. Wait til your older and your more comfortable with the whole two guys subject then. I'm glad your honest and open minded though. That's a very mature thing to say.

  • @mygirlruth yeah i'm 16 the movie came out when i was like 9 or 10

  • fuck i love this music makes me remember my boyfriend

  • The first 2 seconds always tricks me into thinking I'm listening to Blackbird by The Beatles and vice versa XD

    it's like the same opening!

  • @023Faust haha thats what i thought!!

  • I love that music and the movie.yeah Jack and Ennis................ i don t know............... im getting cry. so why life is brutalllll???? im from Azerbaijan. im a gay tooo but i don t wanna be with him. cuz he must live in normal life. he wants me but i don t want. and my words hurt him. it s very sad. thnx for this movie.

  • just hearing the song makes me bawl my eyes out </3 such a beautiful movie

  • Sounds like something from Metro 2033

  • 0:00 to 0:03 fight fire with fire by metallica

  • what a heartbreaking theme!... so simple and so emotional at the same time... i adore the very last scene of the film ("i swear") this music score getting louder right after, filling my eyes with tears...

  • Why is it that two drunk bimbos can appear in "Girls Gone Wild" getting on and you zealots don't even flinch. In fact, you encourage it. You hippocrates make me vomit!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tmc4binky *hypocrites, surely. Hippocrates was an man from Ancient Greece.

  • @bloosy appreciate the headsup..knew at the time that I was using the wrong term, but had been up allnight. Hippocrates wasn't just a man from Ancient Greece, but philosopher, etc. which is where the term hypocrit is derived, hence "The Hypocratic Oath"

  • I am not gay but I loved this movie and I am so disappointed by all my friends attitiudes toward it. Its a touching lovestory and you totally do not have to be gay to enjoy it. Love has no gender or sexual orientation.

  • what is the name of this music please?

  • I'm crying here, and i miss her..

  • I still miss him

  • Great movie, soundtrack aswell,Heath Ledger, great role,i know people enjoyed his "Joker" role but i loved this one, nobody could've played Ennis Del Mar the way he did.

  • What a pity that the Academy did not have the bottle to award it Best Picture, it won Best Director but not Best Film, BAFTA on the other hand did.award it.; and why in heaven's name did Heath Ledger not get an Oscar when Jake Gyllenhall won best supporting actor for same film? Anyway loved it and have seen it many times.

  • Brokeback Mountain is not about gay people. There are no gay people in it. There. I said it. And no, I'm not trolling. It actually ISN'T about gays ;o They're bisexual.

  • @Yumichikakun Subtitles.

  • We watched this in school when we were 14-15. Not one of the guys destroyed the film by making jokes or anything. Everybody sat quiet and watched! Guess there might a difference between the US and Norway when it comes to acceptance of homosexuality. I think it's a BEAUTIFUL movie :)

  • @TheVildee That's wonderful. Thanks for sharing that story. That even teenagers could be compelled by this great love story and not snicker at the lovers' genders is truly heart-warming.

  • @MrHeslopian :)

  • Anyone else notice that this sounds like "Injection" by Hans Zimmer? It's the same tune.

  • Anyone else notice that this sounds like a slower version of "Injection" by hans zimmer? it's the same tune.

  • *movie spoiler alert* The great irony here is that Heath is gone in real life, but in the movie it was Jake that was gone. I couldn't stop thinking about this irony when I heard of Heath's passing.

  • I just still can't believe Heath is gone...

  • @squirralicious I hear you... so much talent.

  • i miss Heath

  • This song makes me cry esp when I think of the ending of the movie....oh gosh...

  • @Yumichikakun I had to put the dvd subtitles on. xD

  • all straigth guys have thier gay moments too

  • I have seen the movie 10 times and cried each time. I have never cried at a movie until this one! And my parner thinks I'm butch!!

  • After seeing the movie it came to the point where any strum of a guitar or sound of a harmonica made me perk up and want to listen... and then feel depressed because it wasn't what I thought it was and it still made me think of this movie. It's been about a week since I watched it and it still effects me... Damn good movie. T_T

  • Amazing film.

  • Broke butt mount man

  • Everyone i know thinks this movie is gay porn>_> its not, its a love story and the fact that its 2 guys doesnt make it any less meaningful

  • very good movie. RIP Heath Ledger

  • I find this to sound similar with the song "Amarillo" by Gorillaz

  • This song always makes me cry. As does the movie.

  • Everyone is commenting about the film rather than the music.

  • i only cried 3 times when watching anything on tv

    1- at the end of shrek 1 ( i was a kid )

2- at the end of 6 feet under

    3- and this movie

  • Damn, I start crying almost immediatly when I hear this song.

  • eh

  • People have an essential need to love and be loved; we are made as we are made; some find that their hearts turn to their own gender. It is not unheard of in nature, so it can be called unnatural. Just live and let live -

  • I've never cried at a film before.. Then I watched Brokeback Moutain..

  • So if you are religious and fall in love with someone of the same sex, would you still believe it is a sin?

    -Just Wondering

  • @sulivancat there is one person who will judge..nobody else's opinion counts.. I dont believe it's a sin to love someone. even if it is with someone the same sex..

  • Even the song makes me somewhat emotional.

  • A film about true love !!

  • i love this movie the best two actors ever.... and the only movie that can make me cry everytime that i watch it :( but it is too good not to watch

  • last song name???

  • Comment removed

  • @RDMNC “opening”

  • @onelovefaker I know exactly how you feel. I feel it too.

  • Brokeback Mountain Forever

  • why jack twist whyyyyy¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • What is the song called that starts at 1:45?

  • @hartdav3 It's the tune with wich the movie starts, so on the soundtrack it's just called: 'Opening', written by Gustavo Santaolalla. The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic, just like the movie!

  • this movie broke my heart when he said "jack I swear " at the end I couldnt fight back the tears it was jus a heart renching story

  • @mrneverbackupordown I often wondered what he meant by that. Do u know?

  • @senyah777 umm i wondered too. i really don't know i was hoping somebody would tell me but somehow they were the perfect words for that moment in my opinion

  • So hard to be gay.... But for me this movie represents the need of doing things when you want to do this.... Do not wait more... Just do, otherwise you will feel regret, the worst feeling, for me.... I ve just lost my mom and sometimes I think the she would have done many more things in her life if I said this to her before!

  • From which theme (which appears towards the end when credits roll on) is taken?

  • Is it just me or does the beginning sound like Blackbird by the Beatles?????

  • @supersaiyanobi

    That's what I was thinking!

  • I cryed so much at this song, not only a intense story.. but.. Heath ledger is there :'(

    ..

I will always love you Heath your dearest Kelly ♥

  • F A N T A S T I C

I don't know what else to say. This love story makes you speechless

  • god i love this movie. and not just because it's about a gay romance. it's just one of the deepest, most moving, purely character-driven narrative films i've ever seen in my life

  • Doesn't Heath Ledger's character say "Jack, I declare - " and then declares nothing, but lapses back into silience - he can't say anything, not declare his love or express grief - he's gay and must maintain his cover on pain of death - the locker with the few mementos, and the open window with the empty prairie beyond is a great final scene, giving a whole new concept of loneliness - a bad thing to inflict on anybody (oh, and God made people to be gay, they didn't choose - if He exists at all)

  • @SupernalOne He says "Jack, I swear"...

  • @xXrokrgrlXx

    ah, thanks, I misremembered -

  • i was listening to my ipod in class as usual and suddenly this song came and i teared up and started sniffing in class everyone looked at me includin the teacher and i was like ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuck

  • @Mari8BZF

it's the saddest song in the world, a pure lament - but ha, weeping in class is hard to explain - and going on about Brokeback Mountain probably wouldn't make it any better :)

  • @Mari8BZF wow...this song is amazing isnt it???

  • @senyah777 yeah..it is...

  • played this through the mic on ps3 online while sniping with a teammate near by, LOL

  • i wish i knew how to quit you!!

  • This music always makes me cry.

  • THIS IS TAKEN ALMOST ENTIRELY FROM BLACKBIRD WHAT THE FUCK HOW DID THIS WIN AN ACADEMY

  • Believe in Love . This movie can be

an example of how one can find love . . . anywhere !

  • @wolowich yeah especially in the ass and ass to mouth love

    fcking faggots

  • @ZyncheStrikesBack

hey, do you remember how you felt about your parents when you found out they put their junk together? That's disgusting too, until one gets over it. And what about male-female anal sex, is that much more savory? Even if it's hetero. But hey, if a person has a natural same-sex romantic inclination, what are they going to do? Sure, I draw the line at tolerance of shit play ("dirty sanchez" etc) but if people keep it in the bedroom, let 'em do what they want - just sayin'

  • @ZyncheStrikesBack

Its easy to say "fcking faggots" but you watched the theme dude, therefore watched the movie, therefore identified with repressed gayness in a macho job. Im happily married with children, Im jus here for the music, but I think the movie is a great love story, and when you call someone a faggot remember the two characters could knock you out any day of the week. Stereotypes and hate is easy, wake up a little bit and have a modicum of tolerance.

  • @Kedfagan the movie is directed by ang lee, which i respect. but not this gay panorama shitmovie.

Oh and trust me those 2 faggots (im talking about chars, not actors) wont do shit to me. Maybe i have a youtube account, but i also know how to handle myself.

Im not hating or anything, i just KNOW that the only thing to do with fagots is mental institution.

    See ya

  • @ZyncheStrikesBack

lol ok thats your opinion, and id go to war to guarantee that you can freely express it. You dont "maybe" have a youtube account, your on youtube as you read this. That aside, the two "faggots" in the movie were perfectly written, and yes, there is big butch guys who love each other. The way I see it, if ppl are happy, let them get on with it. Its incredible you think they need mental help. Thats the way Hitler spoke. My advice=travel a lil bit, the world at large is brutal

  • @Kedfagan Hitler? Straight to the Godwin point heh. That means you're not able to maintaint a discussion correctly, sir.

  • @ZyncheStrikesBack

Dude your saying homos need to be in a mental institution. Like I said, thats your op, guess I was jus trying to say live and let live. Also, youtube isnt a discussion, its generally full of people who believe their opinion is 100% right. Im not saying mine is, but I can hold a discussion :P.

  • thank you soo much for putting this up!!! i love this song!! best romance movie ever!!!

  • I love the movie and cried all the way through. the music makes it even more emotional, just hearing the music makes me tear up. Such a moving piece. RIP Heath Ledger

  • RIP HL great movie, moving music

  • hopeless and desperate

  • @ZyncheStrikesBack Go join Westboro Baptist Church and stick your tongue up Fred Phelp's asshole...

  • I am a straight male on my girlfriend's computer. For you religious people, remember, "Judge not let ye be judged". I truly believe hatred for another group is not a superiority complex. but an inferiority complex. If people truly felt superior, they would treat the others as they would treat their pets, who they truly feel superior to. I am a hardened combat veteran and I cried during the movie

  • This is the true essence of perfect cinematic language, and deserves every honour it got, the best love story i have ever seen and a well deserved recipient of the most honoured cinematic piece ever in creation :)

  • GUSTAVO SANTAOLALLA IS A GENIUS...ARGENTINE MUSICIAN....AWESOME MUSIC.

MUY BUENA PELICULA, SOY HETEROSEXUAL Y ME ENCANTÓ LA PELI...SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA

  • homosexuality's main theme song.

  • anyone else think the theme is a rip of fight fire with fire by metallica?

  • Behold my 2 cents: What does Enis mean by "Jack, I swear"? Will we ever know? Does it matter? I read somewhere that this is a story about two souls falling in love. I really agree wtih that. It's not about homosexuality, though the social taboo provides conflict and drama. It's about the heartbreakingly deep bond between two people. I think that part of the film's magic is that we will never really understand how deep that bond is. The last line reflects that lack of understanding perfectly.

  • RIP enis del mar, Heath Ledger

  • Twenty years is a long time to love hide and forbidden

  • there moth hot i dunt care if there gay in this movie

  • Its sad to think guys can't watch this without being accused of being gay themselves. I'm 100% heterosexual but this is an incredible film, so sad.

I feel sorry for the homophobs who can't get past the tent scene. Pathetic.

  • @Hitmanfan91

    I agree 100%

  • @Hitmanfan91 I hear ya. Just goes to show how twisted our world still is. Fantastic movie and sad. I listen to this song with my girlfriend and let me tell ya it feels great to hold her and love her as I do. Love is a force no one should try to stop.

  • @Hitmanfan91 you're such a fag.....jk. it was a beautiful film. except for the sodomy....and the kissing....i could have done without that, but it didn't ruin it for me.

  • This movie made me cry like a fucking baby. I love it.

  • R.I.P Heath.. this theme should have been (if it has not) played at he's funeral.

  • finally no voice

  • well Madeline, if you wanna eat trail mix and listen to Leif Garrett while you march for equal rights for the pole smokers of the world thats really great. Just one problem, if everyone was gay the human race would fail to exsist. Because, other than you, babies don't fall out of peoples asses. If self motivated genocide is what you stand for, good for you. So while your out painting rainbows on your prius or watching reruns of queer eye for the brown eye, try thinking about the big picture.

  • @emartin213 If everyone took a vow of celibacy the human race would cease to exist. Does that make it immoral to become a Christian priest?

Just because the human race would cease to exist in a generation if everyone were a certain way does not make it wrong to be that way. This can't be the standard by which you evaluate the morality of someone's conduct or character.

  • wow you and your friends must really have a life......a pathetic one.

  • @emartin213 Troll.

  • NO HOMO

  • At first i used think "Ha gay cowboys that's so funny." But i took the time to watch it till the end and it's beautiful and sad but fantastic! I now respect this movie and it has also helped me too respect gays even more :)

  • its a shame hollywood or indeed america wasnt quite ready for this film. Heath deserved his oscar long before the joker! Heath is definatley one of the best if not the best actor of our time

  • Super.............!

  • Great song, great movie.

  • :)

  • This theme song is beyond amazing, especially with the sweeping steel guitar under it... No words....

  • i am crying now :(

  • Such a meloncoly song... ='/

  • This film made me cry so much...

  • @DreamTranceMusic agree, what caught my attention to this film is it upbrings in the story the idea that true love exists in this world

  • Music gives me memories of 2006...

  • This film is even more hearbreaking, knowing that Heath is gone...

  • The lap steel guitar work on this song is amazing. I don't know what it is about slide guitar, at the same time it's haunting, distant and eerie; it's mesmerizing, close and moving. From delta blues men who use it to country and western songs, always is the focal point of emotion for me.

  • im straight.. and this movie made me cry..

  • This music makes me so sad. My boyfriend lives so far away, and we keep in touch via the internet. I've never seen him in real life, but I love him so much. This music just makes me worry about never ever seeing him, since we're so far apart.

Please, if someone could answer this comment, I'd appreciate it.

  • Comment removed

  • @Piatnitskysaurus I never comment on anything here. I heard this music on a video and wanted to listen to it again. And then I saw your comment.

I know that feeling. It sucks. A lot. I will admit I know what you're going through. And even though I don't know much about you, if I had to give one piece of advice, it would be; don't wait. Be spontaneous and find a way to hop on a plane and see him. Don't hold back. And don't let whatever ya'll have pass you by.

Life is just..too short to wait.

  • @cryformeemokid13 - thanks, I really appreciate the feedback. I am planning to see him in the new year :)

  • The music is haunting. It feels like the music is saying "...what might have been..."

  • I just watched this movie tonight and cried so hard at the end when Ennis said "Jack, I swear..."

  • what an awesome love story! and such terrific acting on Heath (who was taken too young...God rest his soul) and Jake's parts. what a mixture of emotions i had when walking out of the theatre that day. i cry each time i watch it...and always will. for those of you who have yet to see, for whatever reason, see it!!! much <3 :)

  • My ex-husband looked like Heath Ledger. I still cry whenever I see that beautiful man, and realize he passed away so tragically.

  • I have found this love....lost and have won it back.

  • Everytime I hear this, something about it makes me exhale with sadness, somehow feeling...not drained or numb, but relaxed and peaceful.

  • "If you can't fix it, you gotta' stand it." <3

  • So beautiful . If two people love each other. Leave them alone!!!

I can only dream that someone comes into my life & I can share such a true love.

    Nameste

    kim

  • @namestable good points =D

  • @LiveStrongandFail I am still dreaming of such a love.

  • @namestable well i hope you do someday ^^

  • @LiveStrongandFail

thank you. i hope you are fortunate enough to have found such a love in this life.

  • thanks jake and heath for being so brave

  • this movie made me feel sad in such a special and different way than other movies... it made me feel something i've never felt before. such a beautiful movie <3..

  • Awwe, Jake Gyllenhaal ^^ So adorable!

  • To Bagzie: I'm 50 and if there's one thing I've learned in half a century, it's this for sure: never judge an entire group of people because I promise you, there are bad AND GOOD in EVERY crowd. You might be surprised who can turn out to be good if you have an open mind.

  • @kimberly72608 same thing goes for whats right and wrong... might be suprised what can turn out right or wrong if u have an open mind

  • oh "blue mountains" i mean!

  • Makes me want to butt fuck a cowboy. .. did I say that out loud?

  • This song and movie: Brokeback Mountain makes me cry everytime I see it or listen to it

  • one word.. beautiful :)

  • 00:00-00:02 = /watch?v=P5CUHHGlQg0&feature=player_embedded#! ^^

  • i'm not gay, but good song

  • Comment removed

  • "jack, i swear" i die at those words. its so sad. the saddest love story in my opinion

  • @xlilygothackedx, I could never figure out why he said that.

  • @xlilygothackedx Likewise, watched teh film not knowing what to expect - that line blew me away.

  • @xlilygothackedx yeh i still have no idea what he meant by that. this movie was very romeo and juliette. except they were actually in love for more than a few days

  • I just bought the DVD yesterday.

I have no words... I love this movie.

  • @xxRainbowKid you are gay
