well either they're lying in order to get you to buy a data plan(which is surprisingly common), or there are different promotions or regulations where you live because i just bought one online and didn't have to change my plan.

To me this phone = The HTC Evo LITE (Very VERY LITE). Just looks very similar. The first instinct looks more like it though. Yea the features on this phone dont even compare tho lol. Oh and to all of you on famliy plans wanting the evo, it probably isnt happenening for you. Theyre making hte monthly bill for that phone HIGHER. I've own the Instinct and its been a fantastic phone. Only complaint is it lacks a stylus holder in the unit and I hear the new HD has no stylus at all. Its good for browsing web sites. While the Instinct series aren't "true" smart phones they pack enough punch and features to compete. The built in voice-to-text Live Search feature can save you from a car crash, the GPS is integrated well, and the multimedia is great. I use sprint radio when I get tired of repeating MP3's in the car.

@7238jz I feel the Samsun instinct is better. Sprint is putting on a new software for the lg rumor touch which I personally hate. Its browser will be poor and so will texting on the screen for the LG Rumor touch. The Instinct is a little better with handeling that and plus people like it because its very very thin.

This phone has the worst mp3 player ever. You never know what it will do when you download songs into it. It may not load all songs, it'll split one album into 2 or more albums, it might scramble the song order, and worst of all, any song downloaded from a cd will start playing 1 second into the music! I wish I had never even heard of Sprint.
