When I was in high school, my dad was against the idea of me smoking pot. I have a very rare and very severe spinal condition that causes so goddamned much pain that some days I can barely get out of bed. I'm 26, walk with a cane, and I take lots of meds. I told him smoking weed helps with my symptoms and that I would not stop. He was mad, but I just told him he could try to stop me, but I WILL find a way to smoke. I just stood up to him and it worked. He's since come around.

I have been very sick now for about a year . I do not have an appitite and lost alot of weight. I went from 155 lb down to 98 lb.I could not keep food down. I ended up in the hospital for a week and was told that I had a three centimeter mass over my pancreas. They set up appointments but the buisness office canceled them because of insurance. Studies have actually been done on the effects of marijuana on driving in relation to alcohol and even a mix of both. People intoxicated by solely marijuana or smoking it after drinking alcohol were well aware of how intoxicated they were, and drove more cautiously because of this. The people that only had alcohol in their system were way more reckless about their way of driving, and weren't aware of how badly intoxicated they were. This being said, marijuana is actually safer to drive on.

I'm stating this because obviously some people will drive under the influence of this drug if it were legalized and regulated, just as people drive under the influence of alcohol, but i'm saying that marijuana makes the user more aware so if this does happen which it will, it's not as dangerous. They also have ways of checking intoxication levels of marijuana just as they can check Blood Alcohol Content from a breathalyzer.
