I'll admit that I have a lot of Japanese songs on my Zune, and I don't know half of what is being said, and yet I like the music, its like the notes in both the vocal and instruments in Jap music seem to speak for themselves, and when we actually learn what is being said, the majority of the time it turns out that even the lyrics are wonderful and poetically well written to actually make you think about them. For some reason I like Eiko's darker music played in Higurashi.

eiko shimamiya is amazing. shes so versatile. the 1st season op for higurashi was slightly scary, the op for the 2nd was slightly sad, then she has a song called FLOW which is calming and All Alone which is pretty. i dont know where this fits, but shes amazing.

I liked the first opening theme the best. The first 3 minutes of episode 1 really set the mood with the opening for the anime and my expectations. Looking back on the series I rate it as one of the best I've seen. I am very satisfied and it makes it onto my small list of media I would ever rewatch at No 3. of 12.

Ah, I found it again. It's on Tokyo Toshokan, if you can find it. They're in FLAC format though. It's not the hardest thing to convert from. I used Winamp to convert to .wav, then used Audacity to convert to .mp3. You should be able to figure it out, if you look carefully. I'm too lazy to explain well -_-
