Wahay great vid - though it could do with a soundtrack...! Brings it all back. Shame you never quite caught me up 8^) Was on a 54T 3 speeder with the 'S' bar on a 'C' stem, so 'aeroBrompton' I guess. I managed 59th (25:57). Top 50 is next year's target. See you there!
Great Video! thanks for posting it. I also competed on a S1E but with a 56 chainring hard work on the hills, note when you over took me at 7mins in but i re-took you at 9:35 on the flater section to come in 65th.
A 56T chainring! Impressive! I ran a 54T front (albeit on a Dura-Ace chainset rather than the standard Stronglight item) and swapped the normal S1E 12T rear cog for a 13T - just about okay for me on the hills and not too bad on the flat, but terribly lacking on the descents. Well, it's a challenge I guess. You must be pleased with 65th - Well done on your result, hope to see you in 2012
Great video and well done on your result. I was behind you all the way and finished in 174th position. You did a great undertake on my wife (18 min 37s) when you lapped her as she was walking and you went onto the grass. Thanks for posting the video. GaryD
Thanks and well done to you too - hope you both enjoyed the day. Apologies to your wife - it wasn't good form me taking to the grass like that really.
Hi! Well done on your result - I hope you enjoyed the day. Weirdly, out of all the millions of videos on YOUTUBE, a few weeks ago I actually watched a few of yours! A friend at work recently bought a Trek belt-drive, and being interested in the system I found your vids, and then I rode past Duxford one day in July and stumbled across the Lotus F1 aero testing, and found your video when I got home! Small world!
