You can watch the small stage Grammys online. I don't know the definition, but it's like an international-based genre with tribal/ethnic influences. Genre = pop. The great thing about all of Jason Mraz's songs, on all his CDs, is he mixes music styles including jazz, rap and reggae. But it's clearly simple four count pop with repetitive lyrics that make you hum for hours. Pop....not even close to World Music.
