In case some of you aren't old enough to have seen Criss Angel when he first started out doing tv "magic" He had actually said to interviewers that the reason why he always does his tricks on tv and not in front of an audience is that he uses computer animation, editing, and props to do his tricks. He even said that the tricks weren't real himself.

This was a very obvious trick. I'm stumped by most Criss Angles other tricks and I think that he is an amazing illusionist, but this one was lame. There is a woman who was born with out legs that I saw on TLC, and looking back she looks very similar to the "top half" of the body. It was an obvious switch when he told the first woman that she was too short.

How trick is done:

the midget firmly holds the lady (amputee) as they approach the bench, through the skirt, which has a cast under it that makes the body appear whole and shapely.criss holds her head in his hand as he lowers her body to the bench to keep heep upper half from toppling out, the midget closes the barrier as criss distracts crowd with instructions... criss knocks on the barrier (torso)to signal to the midget he is ready.

This was a staged trick. The spectators you saw in the video were part of the trick. First you see a lady lie down on the bench. A video edit allows a person with no legs to replace the woman with legs. Notice how when the legs "stand" at 1:23 that you can't see the bottom of the legs - this is because someone below the camera is standing them up. Furthermore at 1:30, the camera is placed in a way that hides the real person lying on the bench moving the real feet.
