wow between "singing in the kitchen" and "what if "....love them songs i have been remembering those songs for the longest time also ....i never knew who sung those songs ...i too had them from childhood thank you
Love this. Fond memories and my daughter loves signing along now as well. I've the original vinyl record. I'd love to see a video of "The Giving Tree" or the song about Noah's ark or well any of the songs off this album are ace. Thanks for sharing.
I grew up to this song and really liked it until dad sang it while really banging ont the pots and pans just to wake us kids up. Looking back I can't help but smile.
@Bluebirdswanlady Yes there is a version of that. But so far I have only found it on a LP-version called "singing in the kitchen I think. I borrowed it from the library. It is the last track on side 1 of the LP. I have it ripped to my computer and can send you the song on an mp3 file - if you'd like it for your grand daughter. I have sent you a friend invite formy channel for this reason. If you didn't already track it down. I don't know if it's out on a CD - haven't been able to locate it.
My first memory of this song was when I wasn't even in school yet & my cousins Dwayne,Darren,& Glen were playing their guitars and singing it,or I heard them on tape singing it.I bought Bobby Bare's Lullabys,Legends,& Lies album a few years ago and this was one of the extra cuts on it,which is why I bought it to begin with.
Had this whole album on a record when I was young. By the time I was ten you needed two quarters on the record player arm to listen to it because I plain old wore it out. You older folks may remember that trick. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for putting this song on. i used to sing this with my two boys when they were alot smaller. the wife hated it but me and the boys had great fun.
Didn't you people's mothers teach you that if you don't have something nice to say keep it to yourself? The Bare family is one of the kindest, sweetest families I've ever known in the music business and both of Shannon and Bobby Jr. turned out to be incredible men!
I think that is so cool. Doing something profitable with the family. Bonding with kids. a lot better then what families often do now. Stop complaining and do something with your kids if you this this is lame. like he said Lot's of love to share
lamest comment ever. Not only is this song fun but he has his wife and kids as well. How many families can say the same. When was the last time Faith Hill and Tim McGraw had their kids on a show?
As a kid I can remember singing along to this with my brother, sister and parents. I haven't heard this song in over 25 years, thank you for posting it. It brings back a lot of great memories.
I remember watching this show way back in the day. They don't make them like this any more!

Our boys break out the pots and pans when I play this song. Is Bobby in the CMA hall of fame yet if not he should be.

Does anyone know if there is a version of this song with children actually banging on pots and pans in the kitchen?
I have a recording on an old cassette inwhich this is done, and my 4 yr old great grandaughter loves it so much!
Great song for children!!
Thank you so much for placing it on 'you tube'
