  • Ahh the great Aldo. First foreign player in the modern history of Real Sociedad. Great striker!.

  • Beardsley to Barnes to Aldridge. Game Over.

  • Newport County legend :)

  • Was amazing for Real Sociadad in Spain. Why Liverpool sold him will always remain a mystery...

  • @orient1961 Ian Rush.

  • legend tags are gave out far too easy these days, and aldo is deservedly a legend, he was a shirt player and still loves are club, sounded like to me he wanted to nut torres when he left haha, and he is quality to listen to on radio city. ps...i miss his muzzy ;)

  • Why oh why did Liverpool get rid of him when he was still so good? His record at Real Sociedad and Tranmere was amazing. So was his career record: 889 games and 476 goals. Unbelievable. Compare that to Ian Rush 601 (254) and also compare Rushies two spells at Liverpool.

I know the answer of course, but I always felt that Aldo was more suited to the Barnes / Beardsley team whereas Rushies best days were prior to the Juventus move when everything was geared around feeding him with the ball.

  • Mcmahon was brilliant in the build up to that goal against Arsenal

  • @Deak77 That run Mcmahon did to keep the ball in really did sum that team up, non of this silly thing players do now in letting the ball go out for a throw in, it was all about keeping the attack going, probably the greatest we've ever had.

  • i love liverpool and i fucking love the club and i fucking love the fans

    liverpool+celtic+barca=brothers till we die

  • i love the reaction of the kop from every liverpool goal. Great fans.

    Respect from a barça fan.

  • What are the fans chanting at the start of the vid?

  • @felmon95 "L-I-V...E-R-P...double O-L: LIVERPOOL FC"

  • KING ALDO!

  • One thing said on this vid was spot on, we let Aldo go far too early, he was brilliant and could sniff out a goal when we needed it most, a real childhood hero to me. I wish we would give him a coaching role at the club, he was also a very good manager and did a brilliant job at Tranmere.

  • Quality video Aldo was so underrated as Striker, his book is amazing, because he played in so many low-league he knew the trade and how to play on the shoulder of players. He wasn't fast but he read the game so well.

    LEGEND
