awesome...I also play the hank drum and started a group on soundcloud. The group can be found at soundcloud with the name of the group "propane-tank-hank-drum-music". Any one feel free to join the group to either post some songs, or just listen to the beautiful music created with hank drums
Wow!!!!!!!! The aluminum has a much sharper and bright sound. Great rhythm arrangement from :32 to :45. Very nice. Curious to hear the steel and Aluminum tanks played together.
very cool! Could you tell me a little more about the material? Love the high notes. Thats the one thing about the standard hank that I have been unhappy with. Thanks!
That sounds great. It would kill your finger tips after a long play session though. At least it looks like you are having to hit the tongues quite hard to get the tone. Perhaps some mallets would be better. Sounds absolutely great in my opinion.

Have you tried it with a few different types of mallets? It may sound interesting.

Great, another type of these drums. good high sound. I make some similar instruments too, also with aluminium. Would love to hear it with mallets.

i actually think this plays the higher register much better than a propane tank, except for the highest note. sounds great in my opinion
