One of the LEDs turned out to be faulty :o( So I had to RMA the circuit board back to Sans Digital for a replacement. Waiting for the fixed circuit board as we speak. But the unit works fine without the LED circuit board.
@cmedip - In my opinion yes. I did a lot of homework and didn't like the whole NAS concept. This way I have a more reliable RAID system, with a lot more storage. The HighPoint card allows me to add a further 3 RAID boxes onto my system if need be. Potential storage of 32TB.

So the RAID is done by the card in the PC not in the RAID box? So it's more of a giant external drive cage?

@SirCrest - That's pretty much how all RAIDs work. Either through software on the computer, or hardware via a RAID card.
