i just finished watching this show when he was younger not to long ago they still show wonder years, happy days, family ties, doogie howser md, and lavern and shirly i love all those shows
Why did they call wart a murder dont get that part he didnt do nothing wrong at all and why did he have his clothes folded while sitting on the bench.
@dallasfan0781 they called him a murderer since many anti war protesters considered him one since they didnt believ in the Vietnam war and soldiers like wart represent that, though your Wart has nothing to do with that.
As for the clothes I believe since he is suffering from PTSD it reminds him of his army days and I guess its a ritual of his or it might comforting.
The Wonder Years can now be seen on TV again. On the channel The HUB at 9pm and 3am EST. It's a new channel and shows alot of older shows like this one.
All the people that spat on the soldiers and called them 'baby killers' should have been shipped off to one of those North Vietnamese POW camps. See what kind of tune they sing after that.
Very well said, AMC, unfortunately the liberals in Congress and the Democratic Party cut off aid to ARVN and South Vietnam 3 years later and sold them down the river.
Wart mentioned Quang Tri, a key battleground of the NVA Easter Offensive, an epic which was kind of the 'Verdun' of the Republic of Vietnam. Perhaps he was an adviser with the ARVN troops that retook the city? From what I have read the South Vietnamese turned back the Red offensive mostly themselves on the ground in 1972, with American and Allied air, fire, naval and logistical support. The ARVN had shown real progress by that time and their victory bought South Vietnam three more years.
@ mj5100 omg I can't agree more I'm a 90s kid and everything about that era was great and what I've seen not experienced the 80s was awesome too the shows n cartoons were hecka a lot better. Anyone know what year this show started n ended?
@LincolnHeightsrocks maybe kevin was just nevous. I mean, he probably didn't know too many war vets and I get very nervous around them, much like I do when around celebs.
man i miss this show so much they dont play it on tv whats wrong with them man i like older stuff better than a lot of the crap thats on now a days cartoons and tv shows
@mj5100 --Even though your comment has 25 thumbs up as of 12/18/2011, I bet ya that those of us who grew up in the 60's and 70's had it MUCH better with TV, music, and EVERYTHING over the 80's and 90's.

Kevin's brother isn't such a prick after all. It's actually very sweet how much he cares about his friend.

There's a bit of a continuity error here. Kevin actually got his driver's license shortly before Wart left for Vietnam. During the 5th Season.
