When I close mine I like to depress the button and release it once I have the blade pressed into the handle. Kinda like pushing in the stem when you close a pocket watch. Makes the trigger release last a little longer I think.
@bioniclemanboy with a sharpener..a bench stone or something like that.. rapala fillet knives come with a little sharpener that you can buy and they work fine.
@SunboXUK by the way, i don't own a switchblade. i don't care to own one. i just find switchblades to be fascinating. of course, a brit wouldn't understand such a thing. you see, i like to look at the aspect of it that has to do with engineering, because that is what i want to become, an engineer. also, i live in a liberal state, thus there really are no rednecks where i live.
@SunboXUK let me explain something to you. 1. i have a 3.5 gpa.2. i hate rednecks. 3.i score higher on my tests than most kids in my school do, i usually score in the A- to A+ range. get your facts straight. also, i would like to point out that i was talking about the gangsters living in america when i said that gangsters are more likely to use concealable pistols and automatic firearms. by the way. when i said a kitchen knife is just as dangerous, i was pointing out that you can be cut by one.
@SunboXUK also, i would like to point out that a fucking kitchen knife is just as dangerous you fucktard. oh, by the way, i've got millions of cutlery enthusiasts willing to back me. all i have to do is cause a ruckus on a video by cutlery lover or roadside imports and they'll be flagging your ass for spam. why do you even go to these videos in the first place? to troll? because thats what you do best. you don't even do research to back your theory. good day to you, sir.
@SunboXUK quite frankly, switchblades are not a gangster weapon. they are more so a collectors item. the only gang you'll find them on is a greaser gang from the 1950s. gangsters, according to research, are more likely to use automatic firearms or small, concealable pistols.
where can I repair something like this? Mine the spring came off broken due to rust. I need to replace the spring. Mine is also vintage Made in Italy pearl handle.
the blade is great, i had to sharpen it, its alittle dull in this video, but its a pretty sterdy blade, the whole knife its self is great, when you hit the button, it pops out and wants to kick out of your hand.
Practically all knives are illegal in NJ, I dont care much about the countries. I mean when am I going to leave the countrie? I own 2 switch blades, an assisted and countless flick knives - I also have regular knives too.
@H4L0K1LL4 Spring assist knives are legal in most states. Switchblades are legal in some states and automatic (fully) firearms need a Federal stamp and $200 tax and are illegal in many states. That's the nutshell.
Most knives that can be operated with one hand are illegal because if you get into a fight - you could open it with that hand and punch with the other. I don't quite get it either but hey you can't argue with the government. I apologize for any typos its getting late.
you don't need license, i don't know about ID, original italian stiletto cost about 70 bucks. i have none of them, cause i just found them couple days ago and i love. it is illegal in some countries.
Illegal in usa as well. However, spring assisted knives are not. There isn't much of a difference between the two sometimes either.
spring assisted you start to open the blade like a folding knife, then spring shoots it open. Think of a switchblade, without the button on the handle

@ryan519636 There is no proposed legislation pending in Congress that would ban pocket knives. Scare tactic to accelerate knife sales.

pretty knife. When it is locked in place, does the blade waggle or does it stay snug without any gap / movement ?
