  • I HAD NEVER HEARD THIS SONG TELL THIS MORNING. I GOT INTO MY VAN AT 6;22 A.M. TURNED ON THE RADIO TO HEAR THE LAST 4 SECONDS TO AN OLD MICHEAL JACKSON ONLY TO HEAR THIS SONG. IT PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE TO KNOW JUST HOW THE LORD WILL LET YOU KNOW THAT HE IS WITH YOU AND THAT HE LOVES YOU. JESUS IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR FOREVER.

  • I prefer Alvin Stardust's version

  • This started playing on our jukebox today at work (which is supposedly "judgement day") needless to say, it was kinda funny and yet uber creepy xD

  • I still have this 45 rpm hit released by Dot Records in 1958 as the B side of "It's Too Soon To Know." Pat Boone then eclipsed even Elvis in popularity as Presley had been drafted into the Army & Pat was on TV Thursday nights with his own show. The only singers close to these icons in status were Jimmy Rogers who ushered in the folk music craze & Ricky Nelson whose hits derived from his previewing them on the popular TV series, The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet. Imperishable golden memories.

  • Does anybody know the name of the lady singing with him?

  • My goodness, the world has certainly changed since this happy, innocent little song was considered rock and roll music by some.

  • best song ever!!!! we have singing this song in school and the whole class its going crazyy

  • Its not so wonderful up there. Come down here. Its nice and warm.

  • A Top 5 hit for Pat Boone around March 1958. It was kept out of the top spot by The Champs (Tequila). Drink up.

  • A rare instance where Pat really excelled on an uptempo song.

  • It's a great song, and if it inspires the faithful, fine. Leave it alone.

  • One of his best!

  • Yes it is true, if you do the will of GOD, you shall be saved in the other life, don't forget there is heaven and hell, so which one you want to go?

  • Excellent video. My favorite and Love Letters In The Sand!!! Thank you.

  • I don't think people hate God. I think they have a hard time believing in ghosts, holy or otherwise.

  • Happy 75th Birthday, Pat!!! Hard to believe that this man was the first teen idol, before the Jonas Brothers, before Miley Cyrus...

    And a Christian too..

  • @Gaylel1 it's better than every one you said before like Miley Cyrus , Jonas Brothers

  • I heard this song for the first time tonite In the car. I Love it Excellent Great post I thank you so much God Bless KTF

  • In light of today's hatred of God, it is hard to believe this was a top 5 hit in 1958!

It's evangelism-it's talking about needing to get saved to have a "wonderful time up there"-

    John 3:16

  • It's all true. Better get ready.

  • Nope. Not at all. Talk to your local Mormon missionaries, one of the few religions that doesn't believe that God is a vengeful tyrant.

  • This is a catchy song--don't read so much into it. Have you ever had a good day in your life?

  • Pat was totally under rated and it's so unfair. He was an amazing vocalist. I also think there was alittle Rockabilly in him.. hmmm!

Watch out Brian Setzer, Pat's after your crown.

    Mikey xx

  • I'm not a religiuos person but the song has compass & rythem in other words IS GOOD.

It was a big hit in Mexico City back in 1958

  • Loved this song by Pat. He was always standing strong on the Lord, never worrying how the media would treat him.

In the end he will have a special place in heaven as he did what the Lord says...to preach the gospel UNTIL... HE returns.

  • Whenever i play this,it makes people laugh. "The lord is coming from his throne on high....he says he's coming back again to raise the dead!" LOL. Really, it's just a simple interpretation of the end times.

  • And dont forguet..the King of Rock and Roll was recording gospel and Xmas songs to!

  • Actually, this only peaked #6 nationally in April 1958. Ironically, while it was in the to 10, "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands" was #1. Imagine...two songs about God being in the top 10 at a time when rock n' roll was dominating the charts. That would never happen again...the athiests and ACLU would see to that.
