I have one of these at home in the attic... since the mid 80s. What have you done??? You have created a monster! I never thought it could pull off all that stuff, especially the later parts of the video. I never imagined people modded these keyboards...
@noystoise No really. Those low toothy D&B sounding bass stabs were especially fat and meaty sounding. I'd love to hear it with some compression, EQ and verb added for effect. I bet it rips.
You have so much more technical knowledge than most benders out there, including myself definitely. And you've got a knack for aesthetics. This is an awesome machine...both in the way it looks and sounds. I haven't seen many things like this, aside from your other work. I think it should have sold for much more.
thanks! yeah, i thought it went for pretty low too but oh well. at least someone other than me will be getting some use out of it(hopefully). i already miss that casio. i may have to do another one soon. maybe the pt-30 next, i dont know.
Sounds like Boards of Canada... <3

For the most part i dig how your instruments look, they just don't make keyboards this funky anymore!

low pass filter was a bend or an add on?
stusvend 1 year ago
Hey man, this is real awesome, i was wondering though, were those filters just 2 points in the board or did you just build them yourself?
Saladparty 2 years ago
hey thanks. i actually just built the two filters and put them in. there is a bit more info on it at my blog.

any chance of getting the schematics to the filters? :)
AstroChrome 2 years ago
With some sort of oscillator on the filters, this would be great for Boards Of Canada like stuff.

Have you done any bends to midi equipped boards or thought about adding midi to any of them? I'm pretty sure you could do it, just wondering
