  • i love ow he's like if you really want girls to pay attention, kick your chir like this!"

  • who is the kid?

  • Jack White, current age. LOL. Like that will always be his current age. XD

  • @TheHouseOffice It will be. No laughing matter.

  • Anyone knows the car he's driving?

  • @joseccalmeidaa 59 ford thunderbird

  • It's not his son. His son is only about 4-5 years old.

  • this is western saloon blues ha:)

  • he looks like johnny depp

  • a bluesmans bluesman

  • don't think is his son, because his son was born in 2007

  • Probably a nephew, for he has many brothers.

  • if that is jack's son, i can't wait till he gets older and starts playing music (if thats what he wants to do). we need more jack whites in this world.

  • :o so is he jacks son or not?

:D if he is I find it cute tht he's learning and bonding with his dad through music :] we need more minds like jacks in this world

  • Is that his one of his Sons in the video?

  • @MrFlapjack247 i was wondering that also.

  • One of the best movies ever!!

  • The part where he kicks the chair out from under him is awesome.

  • @MaxwellsAttourney It's called minimalism. It might not be "creative" but it was innovative for the time they came out because everyone else was into flashy.

  • is the song at the beginning wayfaring stranger?

  • @JonasSkater97 It's all "Sitting on Top of the World"

  • @teamofthee

no its not its wayfaring stranger at the beginning when jack is driving the car!

  • @JonasSkater97 No, even then, it's "Sittin' on Top of the World". "Wayfaring Stranger" is a completely different song, though also a great one. You can hear the guitar sound and the tune from the beginning, and I'm 100% sure that the entire clip is "Sittin' on Top of the World".

  • @JNovak92 yeah i realized it now too but it almost sounds the same

  • he looks like Johnny Depp in Benny and Joon.

  • i want that old gibson

  • hes awesome

  • Some Blues? No!! It's SITTING ON TOP OF THE WORLD, one of the greatest blues ever

  • Sooo true. I agree with him 80s rock started getting BAD but then grunge came and fixed it. Hopefully something like that will happen now. Pop music sucks.

  • Amazing... :)

  • tHIS IS WHY i FREAKIN LOVE jACK WHITE!

  • What song is in the background?

  • @VintageFunkadelic sittin on top of the world, cold mountain soundtrack

  • 1:52--God shone a light upon Jack!

  • "if you want to get attention from a girl you got to kick the chair" the man knows what he is talking about, heartbreaker! <3

  • Amazing Jack can do it all. A such nice and humble guy and a living legend. Minimally. ;D Thanks for this! *****

  • bull shit]

  • the kids kinda creepy lol

  • That's down the road from where I live. that's kinda weird

  • blues for hipsters yay!

  • como se llama la cancion?

  • @4efectos "sitting on top of the world" nombre de cancion

  • This is so much fun. I'm really getting into Jack White these days. Huge talent.

  • jack white just started this kids career

  • I sooooooooo want that car Ö

  • what could ever be better than that very moment sharing ur talents with your children, its worth millions and cost nothin yet we are to busy to share these FREE things with our seed WHY share today

  • Is that one of the muldoon kids?

  • anyone got any idea what guitar the kids holding?

  • @snowguitar100 It is Jack White's 1915 Gibson L-1 archtop guitar. From 1902 to 1926, it had and arched top. Beginning with 1926 it was reintroduced as a flattop guitar and was most famously used by Robert Johnson. The L-1 was generally discontinued in 1937 with only the Robert Johnson Signature reissue being made today. In my personal opinion though, this reissue can't top the original archtop model.

  • @snowguitar100 that aint no archtop nigga

  • @snowguitar100 I think it's a Gibson L-3.

  • @jacksondemarre Do you read the comments from the original poster at the top?? It is not an L-3.

  • @h4ckb0x7 Yeah your right it looks alot like an harmonica.

  • @jacksondemarre WTF are you talking about???

  • @h4ckb0x7 The Epiphone Stratocaster.

  • @h4ckb0x7 Hey where can I find and capture a live Pikachu preferably in North America?

  • @Cuntesmith9, Only a "white-nigger" would say something so pre-fucking-schoolish, u cunt fuck:)

  • "Square Bird" '58,'59, or 1960 Ford Thunderbird.

  • @GJDipper nice riiiide!!!

  • i dunno what key its in but its definately just a 12 bar blues on piano lol

  • @crunkalac Everyone is delusional.. Jack White is completely aware of his delusions, What I like about him is that he knows how to embrace and use his delusional mind, and that is the key to success.

    Sincerely,

    Some Guy

  • Does anyone know who the little boy is in the video? Is he related to Jack? Was cute the way they interacted.

  • @glenneveaux Thats Jack, at age 9.

  • The original chords are E, A and B but in this version its G#, C# and D#

    hope this helped !!

  • @coenengelhard Very much so! A thousand internets to you.

  • That kid is so lucky, I want lessons with Jack!

  • this guy is delusional living in the past even though hes never lived in it

  • @crunkalac You are brain damaged my poor friend

  • @crunkalac

If there weren't people "living in the past", good music would be dead now. Thanks to guys like Jack White, we're still able to listen to blues, classic rock and roll and other kinds of "old-fashioned" music, and not only that, also these kind of guys make music evolve and live forever.

  • @crunkalac He can live in whatever time he wants. He's freakin' Jack White.

  • @crunkalac a bit lol.

  • imagine that kid grows up one day to be an incredible foot-stompin blues man and everyone'll ask who influenced him and the answer will be "Mr. Jack White".

  • So, someone have the chords ?

  • I don't get it.

Is that kid his son or what?

  • @bigmac364

it's HIM. Jack White always said "Imagine if you wer able to go back and teach yourself everything you knew NOW about music." It would be nothing like when you were first introduced to a new song or instrument.

  • I love how the camera rattles while jacks singing the song

  • Anyone know the chords?

  • 1 person misclicked.

  • @magicianwizardking sitting on top of the world by jack white from the cold mountain soundtrack

  • he doesn't sit belt

  • what piano he use ?

  • "If you really want girls to notice, you gotta kick that chair!" :)) haha, genius

  • It just seems so contrived, Jack Playing blues. I've never heard those influences in my listening of his stuff. He's playing it and explaining it as if he's taken it out from behind a glass cabinet door and dusted it off. Doesn't really feel like blues. I mean, I might be missing somthing, but I dunno

  • @FranklyMyDarling i see your point, maybe your listening to the more garage rock elements of the white stripes but large elements of the white stripes discography is undeniably blues, look at all his covers of son house and blind willie mctell and his cover of st james infirmary blues. Also loads of his original songs like i fought piranhas, instinct blues, catch hell blues etc etc

  • @FranklyMyDarling If you dont see the blues in jack whites music then you're missing the poin. Jack said himself that the whole purpose of the white stripes and the grunge overtone was to get up there and play the blues, getting people into the genre before they realized they were listneing to it.

  • @christopherad19 It worked on me. I hated blues before I listened to the White Stripes. Now it's become my favorite genre. Jack White is just that powerful.

  • Notice how the camera shakes everytime Jack's foot hits the floor.

  • What car is it ?

  • @MrV1C7OR Jack's car... fuck yeah

  • @pilotbutterfly You must be proud of yourself, you give me a 3 years old answer.

  • @MrV1C7OR I was just fucking around, man.. Have some sense of humor. I don't know what car it is so I just stated the obvious, in the role of captain obvious... as a joke

  • @MrV1C7OR chill out guy, its called a joke.

  • @MrV1C7OR U mad?

  • @pilotbutterfly I made a question, if you're not going to help or answer just quit it.

  • @MrV1C7OR I can confirm that this is a vintage car...

  • @MrV1C7OR

it's a 1958 ford thunder bird. nicknamed the "squarebird"

  • @Rokkbert Wow, Thank you men !

  • @MrV1C7OR ford fairline

  • @mirelurk1 its a 1958 thunderbird

  • i would love to be that kid... just sayin.

    Jack gives modern music hope.

  • @s2ths2 don't we all

  • damn,I wish I was that brilliant.

  • he is so hot ;P

  • he is so amazing <3!

  • I love you jack, but technology has done amazing things for creativity. You just gotta look in the right places. When in the right hands it can open the door to sounds that cant be achieved any other way.

  • @joshmolina3 although i do agree that it doesnt automatically make a person more creative.

  • @joshmolina3 yeah man. he totally missed synthesizers. he may not like synthesized sounds but god how many amazing albums and great music came from synthesizers. AWesome Krautrock and post-punk/new wave stuff. Not to mention just great classic Rock. And technology allowed for hip hop to emerge and sampling to grow into this great art form it is today.

  • @crayyawn probably not the video to chat people up about the "art" of "sampling"

  • @diduhear Why are Jack White fans close-minded? I thought good music recognized good music

  • @crayyawn and right now you lookin' real unfamiliar

  • @diduhear well, we do live in a world where a jar of piss with a crucifix in it is also considered art, as well as photos OF photos by Ansel Adams.... ;)

  • Jack, you're sit on the top of the world

  • @bohemeanne, no that's not jacks son, he doesn't have one, that's supposed to be him at the age of twelve. He could have a son though I guess, he managed to get people including me to belive that Meg was his sister, then again I doubt anyone would lie about having a son lol.

  • Arent the chords just 12-bar blues?

  • I love that movie<3

  • Is that Jack's son? If it is, he's a great dad too.

  • I wanna have your home and your hair

  • fuck yes!

  • seems like he might cause an earthquake with that stomp of his

  • i love his foot doing this funny noise on the floor

  • Did he ever record this?

  • Yo I'm diggin Jack White Age 9. That lil kid rules!!

  • yeaaah as leroyman333 said

It's a classic blues song and the chords are A D E you just use them like in classic blues 12 tact song

If it sounds better to you you can use any type of these chords like A 7 D 7 E 7 whatever you want to

  • i think the chords are a7----then d7-----back to a7------then down to e7------then to a7 once more

  • Jack plays piano the same way I do . . . I didn't know he payed attention to Jerry Lee Lewis. AMAZING!!!

  • @SwampDaddy7 It's funny because he's always reminded me of Jerry Lee Lewis with his craziness. (:

  • @LIVETHISDOWN11 I think he IS Jerry Lee from an alternate Universe. It's just so undeniably cool.

  • what would you call the type of guitar that kid is holding?

  • @PastaCheifFilms - looks like a gibson l-1 or l-2

  • Comment removed

  • @FXTO1

    "whole"

  • I wish I was that boy!..:D

  • A,D,A Because im (E) sittin' on top of the (A) world

  • i want to be that kid

  • Not to bother anyone here

but can someone give me the root chords for this version of sittin' on top of the world

I can figure out the rest.

Brilliant version of a true blues song by the way

  • i'll try to make same tab for you are

  • Lovely car, lovely son, lovely house, lovely wife and lovely face. Jack White has it made.

  • That is the house I want when I'm older.

  • new saying “Jack of all trades and master of anything musical ” his like the “Chuck Norris” of the music industry I swear Jack could move that Miley Cyrus mountain right out of her way … *smiling*

  • "it's so processed it wasn't real at all anymore." I love that quote. It's true, that's why I love it when bands still record live rather than trying to make everything perfect in a song. It's better that way.

  • is that his son *stupid quesion* but still they kind of look alike u have to admit it

  • @AdorkableE33

Nah...this was filmed in 2009, I'm pretty sure, so that would put the kid being born in 2000. And that's impossible, Jack only married Karen in 2005, I think it was, or maybe early 2006.

  • its auto tuning. coz auto tning makes the music making process much easyer and faster

  • It's the music itself.

  • can I play that song with 61 key keyboard?

  • jack white acts like hes in the freakin 1800s

  • whats he driving?

  • who can tell me what car that is hes driving?

  • @ThatGvy99 It's a 1960 Ford Thunderbird. Cool ride for sure.

  • @villainjpe1704tks

    awesome thanks

im gonna get me one of those but instead a 1965

  • @ThatGvy99 - No problem. It took me a minute to figure out what it was (I don't know retro cars that well)... but i actually really like that squared out gen t-bird from 58-60.

I'm gonna get me one eventually as well :-)

  • @villainjpe1704tks - Got one :-) 1960, black, red and white interior :-) (wow, i only posted this a month ago when i figured out what it was...that didn't take me long :-)

  • "if you really want girls to pay attention take the chair out like (kicks chair)"

fucking hilarious. he knows what hes talking about

  • hero

  • yea...chords for this? please... anyone? D:

  • @TheDaybreak94

It was in the [G]spring, one sunny day

My good gal [C]left me, Lord she went [G]away

    Chorus

    Now she's gone and I don't [Em]worry

    Cause I'm [G]sitting on [D]top of the [G]world

you can find the rest of the lyric your self

Sitting on Top of the World is its name :) have fun and good blues

  • @fetamoi thank you ;D

  • @fetamoi - that looks right...and definitely the key of the original playing at the beginning. But it sure sounds like Jack is playing it in A on that old upright piano. Same intervals though - so A, D, A -> F#m, A, E, A (I, IV, I -> vi, I, V, I) ?? right? I was just banging it out on a piano next to me...and while that one he is on is a characteristically out of tune, it sure sounds like he's in A to me. (perhaps my ear sucks though :-))

  • @villainjpe1704tks although not sure i hear the vi in that progression...

  • is that his son?

  • @jakesakook No, that is not his son. In that documentary he wanted someone to play him at age 9.

  • Technology might make allot of things easier but to say that technology always and every time reduces creativity is very short sighted. Even if your name is Jack White. Example: With the technology of microchip-sets I can easily make a spreadsheet, which in the past required a lot more effort and creativity, but it is the same technology with which I can find my own creativity in the same way JWhite finds his in a guitar(I use Reason but you can choose the technology to suit your own creativity)

  • @biggetjeknor Jack never said that technology reduces creativity. He's only pointing out that it doesn't make you a more creative person. Sure you can make spreadsheet much faster, but in the past you had to handle more creatively because you didn't have that technology.

  • @GandalfMellon technology just makes creativity easier for people, and if its easy, its not creative

  • @GandalfMellon true, its like those people that have a fancy camera and think they are great photographers.

  • @GandalfMellon In my opinion, technology does tend to make you be less creative if you let it. You have a tendancy to expect or to let the computer (or whatever) do things for you. That's my experience anyway.

  • @redcloud02 I think your right. You can be creative and use the computer (for example). But the big danger is to copy stuff that is already made. I and think creativivity is linking things in your head you don't think off right away. And with technology is harder to separate your own ideas from the ones that already exist.
