for better grip on the steering wheel , theres a special material on the wheel and the gloves , wich gives perfect grip , but also allows the driver to let the wheel slide back , and off course the gloves also protect for fires !

well yeah but almost all the cars can be switched to about any form of drive type.... or they just tuned all the tourqe to hit the back wheels... i did that for my VW golf 1989.. i switched it to all wheel and then put all the tourqe in the back... works fine plus i can tune for rally as well as drift

no a kouki is the first generation of s14, which had a more round looking front end. A zenki is the later generation of s14 which had more aggressive head lights. S14.5 is just a term for an s14 silvia with and s15 front end.

They are too heavy and the wheel base is too long.

Sure if you get good enough you can drift them, but it wont be any good.

The best car to start drifting in is a AE86. And as hazard2000 said, a 180SX make great drift cars.

But the reason why there is not many supra drifters out there is because they are too heavy and the wheel base is too long.

dude, couple bits of advice:

learn hoe to drive really good normal and keep your record clean before you try drifting, I rolled a nice mazda at 65 and it was not cool. Start off w/ a cheap car cause you will destroy it (S15 maybe?) and then when you get out of college drop the money into that supra or a sylvia. be careful w/ stock cars cause you can snap the axles drifting believe it or not.

All racing takes skill, but most of the D1 drivers started by circuit racing and still do. Drifting is many different types of racing combined. I think you would realize how difficult it is if you actually tried it.
