There was a crash I've been looking for from the 80s or something. It was two top fuel drag racers and the lead car lost control and took out the other car. Neither finished. It was, like, the only time I ever saw that happen.

All it takes is a very small fault in the drivero the machine to send the car flying in an unsave direction, considering that their engines have 8,000 horse power. no much you can do in a few miliseconds....

The guys left header pipes fell off and sent him soaring.The body came floating gently to the ground right in front of the finish line stands.I have that same shot on an old VHS somewhere,didnt remember him getting so high off the track,wild.Half of these crashes are from the Texas motorplex.

I was watching that race. I believe that was Ron Capp's car. I don't remember for sure but I do remember that when the engine blew the blower off and sradded the body, part of the body came back and hit his helmet and knocked him unconcious temporarily. It was a wicked boom. You cam see the blower and injector assembly pop up, break the blower straps and then fly onto the track.
