  • @jossh87

I have done video production work that actually gets broadcasted. If it is not getting broadcasted I don't really care about the quality. For many youtube is a close as they get to professional video production. How much money has opticavara made?

  • @adobePC

You do realize that my video editing suite is better much than opticavara's don't you? My system is much more functional.

  • @jossh87 josh nobody likes you ...you are a fucking retarded asshole

  • @jossh87 Thank you. Just ignore this guy. People like him get blacklisted all the time. (in fact that happened recently to someone I know because of this PC VS MAC attitude) He's rude, incompetent, and does not have the attitude of a grown man, let alone a professional. It doesn't really matter what your preference is but he goes out of his way to bash on software that most people use. Which is childish.

  • @jossh87

I will do what I want on my own channel you pathetic asshole. People can use what every they want. My channel is here to debunk the stupidity put forth by assholes like yourself.

  • @jossh87

You are both pathetic assholes. FCS is still being used but it is an end of life product. As newer cameras hit the market FCS will be left in the dust. Many studios have jumped ship. You can read about it by doing a Google search. I am not saying FCP X does not work but it is not the best choice for many studios at this point in time. Now shut the fuck up.

  • the real question is, can it run final cut studio? no? Then it's not a real editing machine to me!

  • @oldVideoGamesChannel

FCS is dead jackass. Most FCS users have switched to PP CS 5.5 or Avid 6.0. You don't think a PC running Media Composer 6.0 is a real editing machine? You are a pathetic and ignorant asshole fan boy.

  • @adobePC Haha, stop talking out your ass man, I go to several editing studios everyday in LA and Final cut studio is the standard, hell some aren't even using FCS 7 they're still using 6 and 5. Just because Final cut X came out doesn't mean it's dead and everyone has upgrade to X or something else, nobody is switching to adobe's mediocre software just yet, let me know when you're done fooling around with your local public TV station and finally start working in the actual industry.

  • Cool setup but what's with all the cables on the floor?

  • @DevesterOner

I set it up real quick to do the video. I have a totaly new system now days.

  • @adobePC Let's see it.

  • @adobePC Also what are your thoughts or advice on a system that will work best with apps such as Adobe, C4D and Maya. thanks.

  • great machine for those stupid projects

  • @wiliam571

What stupid projects are you referring to? The video you watched was to show the realtime effects and GUI. It was not anything I was editing for an actual client. I used that system to edit projects that were played on local cable stations. Don't confuse a YouTube video with my professional projects.

  • Having a Mac would of been realistic scenario and worth watching.

  • wow you got alot of stuff

  • hey how do you let the tv show what your editing on premiere? need help please? :(

  • @stanlymanly2

I will try to do a video for you soon.

  • @adobePC thank you!!!

  • @adobePC hey adobepc, i was wondering what do you do for a living? do you edit stuff for clients or do you do other computer related things as well? just curious

  • @steven4570

I did do video production for a living at one time. Now I just freelance. I have also done computer repair in the past.

  • Hey adobe I am a PC gamer and I just want your opinion on what graphics card I should get. I have it narrowed down to the 5870 and the gtx 480 and would like to hear your opinion what will be the best buy.

  • @TearsOfWar1

I am not a gamer so I could not say what would work best for games. For video editing or 3-D animation I would say Nvidia all the way. Premiere Pro CS 5 can tap into the CUDA technology from Nvidia. MSI has an ass kicking Micro ATX MOBO that can make use of SLI or CrossFire both for $170.00.

  • @TearsOfWar1 I would go with a GTX 470. The 480's like 200 bucks more, runs hotter, and there isn't much of a difference.

  • @TearsOfWar1 This response is more for anybody else that is in the same situation, but nVidia. The drivers are much better and you can edit much more with their control panel. The one ATI I've ever owned (radeon hd 5570) was garbage, and performed poorly compared to my 7900 GS, which I can find for 20$. The radeon costed me 75.

  • what does this got that final cut pro 9 doesn't got?

  • HOW do u put the moniter to a t.v for a video preview

  • @AEvideos100

I use a $129.99 ADS PYRO AV/DV converter box. I will do antoher video soon about my system.

  • ive had such bad experience with ati cards for editing.....1gb of memory and boris FX will still say i need atleast 128mb of GPU memory even though i have 1gb......ill never look at Ati again.

  • Also Final Cut Pro can edit native AVCHD video get your facts straight before making statements.

  • That video was done before the release of the new FCS asshole.

I know my friend could not edit native AVCHD on the older version.

Pull your head out of your ass before you post dip shit.

  • Oh really? Since a comment you made 3 months ago says FCP can't AFTER the new one was already released (June 2009). Get ur head out of your ass dipshit before commenting on shit you don't know.

  • Ok you are just playing rendered clips in a small viewer on a sd display.

  • They are not render you idiot. It is 100% realtime.

  • Unrendered clips cannot playback that smoothly on any system no matter what software and hardware is used.

  • Yes they can dude. They will not look that great on the VGA monitor but on the NTSC monitor Premiere Pro's RT looks great. Edius is true realitme. You need to educate yourself dude.

  • Ok serious question all joking aside. What are the specs of your system?

  • It is a 2.66 GHZ Yorkfield with 4 GB of RAM and an Nvidia 9400 GT graphics card. I am playing back AVCHD footage at full res and multiple layers of native HDV. PP CS5 will be able to play back AVCHD files with effects using Nvidia's CUDA technology

Nvidia did a demo of Premiere Pro CS5 (beta version) playing back native R3D files at full 4K resolution (5 layers with several filters). It was amazing to see what CUDA can do.

Keep in mind is was Nvidia doing the demo at IBC not Adobe.

  • Yes CUDA is impresssive and today's gpu's are so powerful. This tech should definitely be able to harness the power of the gpu that has been only recently reserved for games

  • I seen a demo of Pinnacle's Liquid Edition using an old ATI 8500 back in 2003 get true realtime to the NTSC monitor.

Everyone thought they would write drivers for Nvidia and all the other ATI cards but they did not.

As of now not even the Dual Quad Core system can playback the huge 4k files at full resolution but with PP CS5 any mediocre Quad Core will be able to do it if they have an Nvidia GTX 285 graphics card. The realtime of CUDA was the impressive and that powerful.

  • too bad premiere cs5 AVCHD realtime editing will only support gtx280 cuda and up! so a gts250 with cuda will do nothing...damnit.

  • what is the point of this video

    Serious question

Also what were you asking about at 3:00?

  • At 3:00 I am asking other people to show of their video editing system. I am demonstrating how a DV converer box will make the editing experience more pleasureable for the editor and the client.

  • Yes I do. I do more graphic design than video editng. I did work as an Avid editor using a Mac based Avid Media Composer but like many others I have been laid off.

  • Are you working free lance

  • reeshTV,

Post your video editing system then douche bag. Everyone claims they have something better yet I have not seen proof of this. Talk is cheap.

  • Lmao. What a mess. That's a horrible shorty video editing system. Thank you very much but I'll stick with a mac pro.

  • ... We were using iMacs in class for video editing and there were fantastic. We never had a problem with them at all for video editing. Any new iMac is a fantastic video editor, be it with iMovie, Final Cut Express, Premiere Elements, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas, Avid, anything really.

  • An iMac will not let you edit AVCHD in it's native format. Rendering and transcoding will be fater on my Quad Core system. I can use a Core 2 Dual to edit video but it is not as good as a Quad Core.

  • nice wire mess

  • The wires were there becuase I was recording the video. It is not there when I actualy edit video for a client dip shit.

Do you have anything useful to say?

  • you ever heard of camcorders dip shite?

  • I had to change where the power strip was located so I could connect the camcorder dip shit. I was using my friends camcorder. I had to get it done quick.

Is that a good enough answer douche bag?

Pehaps I should make another video with out the wires in the way. I now have my own camcorder. I can let the batteries charge up.

  • Y would you want to make another video, you got 2 stars on this one lol...

  • I do not care about the ratings ass wipe. Have you read the comments? Have you read your comments douche bag? Why don't you show me your video editing system and then we can talk. As of now you are just a douche bag ranting troll.

  • I don't need to show, I just use a macbook lmfao

  • HollowRoseMedia,

You should get decent RT from FCP and a Mac Pro if you have unlimted RT inabled. I do admit everything needs to be converter to the Pro Res (FCP) where as Premiere can play the native AVCHD MTS files. Don't be concerned with Real Time Effects but rather how much you like the GUI. You will be staring at it for ever. I think it is easier to trim with Premiere than FCP although they are indeed very simular.

  • God your right adobe, theres no way a mac system can play real time like this, not after rendering or anything! Maybe us mac guys are just a bunch of retarded lost souls like you claim! Great display you have there btw, i would be proud to show any client that look ;)

    OSX brothers

  • dude a $599 mac mini can do all that and its not as ugly

  • Muk546,

No it can not you little fuck monkey. Emeeek77's machine can not even edit native AVCHD at full resolution. Pull your head out of your ass. The Mac Mini will not edit native HDV and native AVCHD like my system was doing. It can get some realtime after it is converter to the Pro Res codec but who wants to do that? I can convert to an intermediate codec like Cineform and get real time up the wazoo.

Post a link to your editing system rather than post pure BS you dip shit.

  • dude just look at all those wires its horrible im sorry if i piss you off but its the truth i have a $599 mac mini (last gen) and a macbook and final cut is just fine on the mini and on the macbook

    mac mini- 2gbs ram

    256-SSD

    intel integrated graphics

    800mhz bus speed

  • muk546

I Have wires dangling but only becuase I was making the video dip shit. My editing system is very very clean.

Show me a video of your Mac Mini editing native AVCHD. You can not do it with out using the Pro Res interediate codec. Any Dell or HP with a Quad Core can do it.

  • I think you are sadly confused, and this is coming from someone who owns a 2-year-old Macbook and a 1-year-old custom gaming rig. My relatively cheap mac outperforms the PC (which has an 8800gt, better than the 9400gt) dramatically even in HD editing (which you failed to demonstrate). Also, I'm pretty sure there's nothing available for $600 that could match even the cheapest Mac Pro, and just because it's a quad-core doesn't make it good. Do some research before going for outward slander

  • jergling,

Should I call you dip shit? I am editing HD dumb ass. It is HDV in a P2 project as well as native AVCHD in a P2 project. Prove to me that your Mac will out perform my system by posting a video.

I admit a Dual Quad Mac would out perform my sytem as well as a Mac Pro with a higher clocked CPU. I am using the older style Yorkfield in this system. I could have spent $500.00 and got a much better system but this system rocks as is.

  • Sorry, I couldn't hear your video over the roar of the flame war you're trying to start.

  • fail comeback.

  • My system will blow away your iMac and out perform many Mac Pro. Trust me you dip shit I know what I am talking about.

    iMovie vs Windows Movie Maker?

I can get an $880.00 HP Quad Core and buy the Adobe Production Premium for less the Mac Pro. Do you see how ignorant you are? Stop being an Apple cheerleader and post something logical rather than instinctive dogma. I will not delete any commnets. I will indeed let you make a complete ass of yourself. Post a video of your iMovie system.

  • I have used FCS. Why don't you post a video of your editing system.

  • A 600 dollar PC WILL NOT touch a Mac pro, LOL!

  • You have some great kit, but you choose to be biased and abusive in your description? why do you think al your videos are rated so low? people dont like you! Try being un-biased and just accepting that Mac's are also great computers that are used for video editing world wide more than windows computers.

  • I have nothing against the average Mac user. I have used FCS and I do think the CS4 Master Collection is a much better system across the board. When editing DV-25 using an NTSC monitor and DV converter box PP CS4 does look smoother than FCP but PP CS4 will also have a bit of jitter when using a VGA monitor. That is why a Decklink or even a AJA Xena for the PC is handy to have.

  • newmacgeek,

There is nothing worng with a MAC or Final Cut Pro. I just don't feel as though they are the best option for me.

  • are you using a Quadro card ?

  • It is a cheap Nvida 9400 GT.

  • I notice you blocked my video responses. What are you afraid of? FCS is a piece of shit. Emeek my system blows your system right out of the water. Admit it. I barely touched the surface of what Premiere can do. I don't make tutorials because there are more than enough good tutorials for Premiere and After Effects.

Show me FCS out puting to the NTSC monitor. The proof is in the pudding.

Any Dell or HP can be made into a decent editing system with a Decklink or AJA card and a RAID system.

  • do you even fucking realize that editing is fine on any machine but rendering you dumbfuck is the the breaking point you fucktard your what 600 pc must have from really shitty specs but how bout this my 500 dollar fucking HP with better specs than your computers specs cant even fucking render a 5 minute video without fucking crashing. and my mac pro with about the same specs can render the video like a professional video. i dont think you even know the meaning of the words your talking about.

  • I was playing all that in realtime. I can render with out crashing on my system. I can actualy render while I work on my system. When my Mac friend uses iDVD he told me he can not do anything while it renders. He may or may not be correct. I know I can multi task with my system.

  • LOL, premiere is shit to FCS. Ask any professional and 75% will be using FCS. I wonder why, lol.

  • Agree.

I actually went from FCP to both that and CS4 and then to Vegas.

I love Vegas and I'm sticking to it. I still think FCP is the superior one but Vegas is just so easy to do so many amazing things with, and fast! (has shown me the least latency).

Premiere is my third choice of editing depending on what I'm doing. I hate the lagginess in it.

  • Where did you see Premiere become laggy in my video? Keep in mind I am editing native AVCHD in high quality and also out putting to the DV converter on an inexpensive $600.00 computer. FCP can not edit native AVCHD.

  • Not in your video, I'm just talking about my experience with it in general. I have 2 PCs and 2 macs and I'm happily spread between them :) I should make a video comparing my editing experiences between all of them, that would be cool!

I like the fact that I can let one render an hour movie, while the other one burns a DVD and balance the work between them. But I do have my favorite :) your video was actually pretty good. I wish it showed physical connections to the NTSC monitor

  • by the way... my choice for editing AVCHD is Sony Vegas on one of the PCs.

  • It is just hooked up ot the NTSC monitor with S-Video or composite (I forget what I used that day). The DV converters has component but the NTSC monitor does not.

I hope you will post a video response. A video pitting the Mac against the PC would be cool.

You might like my most recent PC hardware video.
