Nice video, thank you. I got it to work finally with your video. I can move the mouse to the other monitor on my other computer, but can't move a detached window to the other monitor.  Do you know of any way to move more than just the mouse to the other monitors? Thank you.

ah i remember watching this video a while back now its different for me..im installing synergy on linux and windows right now...but i prefer input director a bit easier but like always one of the best videos

The updated version (stable) is a lot more intuitive. All you have to do is add the monitor in the correct place and make sure your names are correct. Super awesome/useful piece of software. One day when I have money i'm going to donate to these guys.

I'm using synergy.. I know it shares also a clipboard, but I remember watching a video (not sure if it was synergy) where you could also copy/drag files from one machine to another one no matter what OS are installed in those machines. does synergy has this feature also?? if so any help how to enable it??

@dkilla10 Yes, I have the latest... I think its called Synergy+ - Same settings should work fine. They do here. Also you can mis-match them. 1 computer can run Synergy, while the others Synergy+

hI AGAIN...JUST a question i have it running but sometimes wen not using the 2nd monitor/pc theres a problem....i try to move my mouse over to the other screen and it doesnt work so wat i have 2 do is restart the program on both pc's any help

@dkilla10 Sometimes that happens to me too. If I just wait a little bit, most of the time it seems to work. Or, like you said, restart the program. I'm not sure exactly what is causing it.

one question though,routers use dhcp,which means your config changes on each reboot of the system,as you can;t guarantee you ip addresses to be fixed (unless you cut down on the conveniences of dhcp)

As for the routers use DHCP, I agree for the most part, but... some people (like myself) have static IPs setup, or reservations setup so the MAC address' get the same IP.

Another BADASS feature of Synergy is you can copy from one computer and paste on the other. Freakin awesome

Thanks for the Video man- Helped a lot- NOTICE@@@@@@@@@@ - I have 2 PC's each with 2 monitors so I am running 4 monitors. You do not need to specify the screens- just the computers. THE "LINKS:" description JUST NEED TO SPECIFY THE SCREEN LOCATION IN RELATION TO EACH OTHER. ie- my XP computer was left of my WIN7 computer so the two links say "XP is LEFT OF WIN7" and "WIN7 is RIGHT OF XP" thats it- now 1 mouse scrolls across 4 screens. awesome! thanks much.

Thanks for the video I have seen others but yours worked for me. I am using my ip addresses and your video made it more clear . The worst part of the install for me was the left side right side settings. I was using a KVM box in the past but I left my beer on it any the condensation from the bottle went in side and fried my KVM box, I guess that was good because Synergy is way better thanks again for your help!!
