  • Tuning A concert is too high! having stress afterward..I think 443 Hz..

  • I love the Beethoven's nine symp. but this is a bad interpretation

  • Maria Luigia so nice and beautiful... brava.

  • Maazel's case is a true unbeliavable, amazing "unicum" in human history: during such a long career (almost 80 years on stage), he wasn't able to understand music and could not learn at all what conducting is. Very few persons would reach such an incredible result. He is like a miracle! Maybe only Sir George Solti got so close to the same guinness.

  • Nobody is looking at the conductor?

  • My God! The baritone looks like a monster. But he sings very well. The music is amazing.

  • @petrusmalk - It's the voice, dearie, "the voice" that matters! ;- )

  • es impresionante el bajo.buena version del orfeon.Y¡¡LORIN MAAZEL,CRECIENDOSE SIEMPRE¡¡

  • Is the full video available anywhere on DVD?

  • wow...great vocals and symphonies.

  • Certo, non si capisce dove siano gli spezzoni che mancano a questo capolavoro mozzato...rimane comunque bello, però!

  • 0:38 looks like Toscanini LOL

  • Bravo!! Bravo!! Maestro Maazel!! The Ninth's 'Ode to Joy' Breathtaking and triumphant.

  • no me ha gustado...

  • awesome!!!

  • So he's now relegated to conducting 3rd tier Italian orchestras, or am I being redundant here?

  • I used to play with that orchestra, how i miss them all... how I miss to play.

    They sound just great!

    Vi voglio bene tutti!

  • Onde está o restante da gravação?

  • My god the bass has a funny face.

  • the cameraman didnt know where to focus!,, ive got headache on this video,,but music is great,, specially when the piccolo solo, seems he misunderstood the sound that it is an piccolo,, he focus on oboe,,

  • Totally miss you Maestro Maazel since you departed from New York Philharmonic :(

  • Great conducting!

  • 1:04 .. The moment maestro contained the inside of a story with the meaning of art, the daughter of the Castile singings this sings this song proudly...

  • Hermosa,simplemente hermosa.......:D

    esas si son voses...¡¡¡¡

  • Os brincos, nos 9:38...

    =D

  • its all right

  • Grande Attila!!!

  • It looks like Maazel and the 1st flutist want to laugh all the time.what's the joke?

  • @davisbone maybe they laughing at the bass.

  • maicol2931ruiz Magnífica versión ¡¡¡Bravo,Bravísimo!!! Impecable LORIN MAAZEL,el paso del tiempo hará inmortal la obra honónima.Atte.

  • Merveillous, absoluty wonderfull, thanks maestro !

  • My goodness...

    Soloist so in-harmonise...

There should be Soprano, Alto, Tenor & Beritone...

The Mezzo really soft at 03:15 and the Tenor too loud and he dominate the whole solo..

Soprano is also very soft at 03:22.

Chorus don't have any dynamics at all..

Everyone don't understand what's Forte or Fortissimo... Especially after the Bass at 02:55..

But the good thing is at 05:00 where the feeling of 'Grand' / 'Elegant' can be felt.

  • One can hear the bar lines really well lol.

  • This bass is wonderful! BRAVISSIMO

  • Lorin Maazel, except for the fact that Beethoven didn't have to reincarnate because of the extraordinary gift of his music he gave to humanity, along with his blindness, I would have guessed you were his reincarnation in this time.

    Brilliant!

  • Alto e grato cantico alziamo al cielo

  • Buenisima calidad!!! Y como no, el Orfeon Donostiarra soberbio!!! Bravo, bravisimo!!!

  • Bravissimi!! che bello rivedervi cari; mi mancate veramente tanto... Att. Juanito

  • BRAVO!! BRAVO!!!
