    WIRE.

  • THANKSSSSSSS dude alot

  • music is really unnecessary....

  • this helped quite abit....thanks hehe x

  • @360stoney lol no probs :P x

  • i have exam tmorw and I really don't know how to decide what design of shape shall choose once i see a formula of a compound,

    for example:

BeCl2 , has two neighbors as well as Cl2O

but they have different shapes :S

    ::( :(

  • Serpentman30 is right, non linear bonds have a bond angle of 104.5 because each time to replace a bonded pair with lone pair the bond angle decreases by 2.5. Awesome video though, got an exam tomorrow....

  • @heavymetaldeath4life Thanks, let me know how the exam went!

  • @AliceRolley The exam itself was alright, didn't really get stuck but ran out of time towards the end :/

    I'm happy if I get a B :)

  • @heavymetaldeath4life Yeah chemistry exams are time consuming :/ I'm sure you did OK though :)

  • actually, non-linear bonds such as water have a bond angle of 104.5.

  • @Serpentman30 and what does 104.5 round up to?

  • Comment removed

  • @AliceRolley The exam board won't won't award the marks if you round up a bound angle to the nearest whole number for bond angles, it even says in the mark scheme don't award mark for 105

  • @internetandre Depends what exam board you have, it was ages ago since I made this video. But yeah I suppose you are right.

  • @AliceRolley, 105, but that's a pathetic defence since you already used 109.5 without rounding. And you didn't use just once, you used it twice for both CH4 and NH4+. Sorry, but humility does nothing but good, so just admit that you got it wrong.

    ...Sheesh

  • @wasdcontrols1 No need to be rude. It might not be exactly right, and yeah I might be wrong, but it was what I was taught as being correct. I just copied from my notes from class into these videos.

  • @AliceRolley, i suppose some people do take correction as being rude, but hey what can you do...

Nah, I'm only joking, lol, I was just trolling, don't mind what I say lol.

  • @wasdcontrols1 Ok then :) so you studying a-level chemistry then?

  • @AliceRolley, Indeed, I'm one of the few who find chemistry quite enjoyable. Though not as demanding mathematically, it does provide some stimulus to the grey matter. I'm going to assume that you've completed AS, so what are you doing at the moment?

  • @wasdcontrols1 I'm currently studying Chemistry at Cardiff University :)

  • @AliceRolley and how is it?

  • @wasdcontrols1 it's great :) hard work but very interesting! are you doing the 1st year or 2nd year of the A-level?

  • @AliceRolley, Wow, why have I only received this message now? Well done youtube your failing as much as facebook... LOL

1st year, yeah I bet it is interesting, unit 2 has just set me aback in terms of profundity and I just love it, lol.

  • Raving and chemistry revision = surprisingly good combo

  • Hey can u make something! relating enthalpy change and hess law?

    esp Alevels?

  • @alwaxpink I'm going to make one on enthalpy change of formation and the Born-Haber cycle. Also it might involve enthalpy change of solution :)

  • OMG thanks you soooooo much you are helping me out so much for my exam tomorrow!

  • No worries! Glad it helped. Good luck with your exam! :)

  • You are a life saver.

  • lol nice vid =D
