Direct from the big guy himself, guys......: Greg Godovitz > marcel...i'm honored that a Swedish group would cover one of my songs!...please pass along my best regards to the Mountain Of Power boys and thanks for sharing this...
Thanks! I recorded a cover of the song on my first Mountain Of Power CD and Greg gave me his blessing back then, too. A really cool guy! One of my Canadian fav bands!
Keep the 70's Rock alive! I like the project a lot! Covers from DERRINGER & POINT BLANK; what the hell!! Hope to see a 2.nd album. I was missing M.O.P. at SRF cause at that year i wasn't there...
Dan - the last time I ran into Greg Godovitz (at the Beer Festival in Toronto) he seemed warm to the idea of reuniting the original lineup again but hadn't talked to Gino Scarpelli in years. (Gino's runs a garage or towing business, etc.). I seem to recall Greg saying he does stay in touch with Doug Inglis though.
All it needs is a little Swedish nudge from across the pond.... ;)
Thanks! We did a studio recording where we covered this one, plus a bunch of other forgotten gems by bands like Moxy, Wireless, Captain Beyond, Derringer, Stray Dog, Point Blank etc. It's out on Grooveyard Records.
FYI Rod - there's quite a bit of vintage Goddo on YouTube if you hunt around. Some stunning performances in an old church here in Toronto, Canada from the late '70's. You may even find a couple of very rare Max Webster clips here and there as well as some stray Coney Hatch, Frank Soda & the Imps and Santers Band.
@Firebird191: Det är en Hughes & Kettner 4x12 med V30-element.

Cool, Perhaps the promoters will have Goddo play the festival one of these years. There was some talk of it a couple of years ago.

Well, that's a suggestion I for one have been pushing for years! We'll see what happens ;-)
