  • @brandavies ur not being critical.....anywaz thanks for the advise......I always luv to listen to a gud and experience guitar player...so I think u are a gud guitar player......I really want to improve my skills specially spot soloing....

  • if am aware of the notes than I wud not go off as i have done in many part of this videos.....tara marty way is difficult......frankly I used pentatonic scales totally.....i think pentatonic works fine....n is easy to use...

  • @TheRage90s Pentatonic is a good starting point, yeah. :P Sorry if I sounded like I was being critical, or lecturing. I just meant to offer a little advice. I spent a lot of time practicing scales and what-not, and when I got good at soloing, I realized a lot of the time I was just playing patterns straight up and down scales. I think a lot of it comes from being scared of making mistakes, but mistakes really make you a stronger player in the long run. :D Anyway, keep it up!

  • Marty's videos focus largely on being aware of the notes you play, less than the techniques you use. It's good advice for anybody, I think. Melody first, techniques second.
