It was a decent game. Best in the series? No. But it isn't nearly as bad as people exaggerate it to be. There is not one FF game I have played where i felt cheated by Square/Squaresoft/SquareEnix.

Oh my days, my friends told me this is the worst FF game ever and they only played FF 7 to 12. I was like "WHAAATT! FUCK OFF!!"

FF13 ranks right up there with my other personal favourites, FF4, FF6, FF7 and FF8.

I love the other games except for I hate the MMO games.... but these 5 games listed above have the best story in the series or best gameplay style.

I used to admire nobuo uematsu's work, but this new composer... when I payed more attention and kept listening to the soundtrack of ff13 especially this battle theme, I then realise how genius the music is. I loved how when the violin goes up to that high pitch in this song.

Although nobuo uematsu's songs for previous FFs were enjoyable and addictive, they lacked expression and rubato compared to this composer

The Reason this game Grinds SO much is due to the fact that the entire game is Dungeon linked to dungeon linked to dungeon. There's only 1 break in chapter 11 when you can go off and do side missions which is mainly what an RPG is about ,exploration, it's like having to do Victory Road on pokemon Over and Over If you skip battles you'll be underleveled thus have no chance to defeat the monsters ahead of you and as its a dungeon all the time you have nowhere to train up as you can't free roam.

What people don't understand about this game is that you have to change your character's role with each enemy you encounter. Some battles require 4 or more role changes. Alot of noobies have difficulty understanding that aspect, get frustrated, and quit the game.

I love all FF's (XI, XII and XIV not FF's for me). I used to hate this one too. I bought it day one, then I played it some time, and then I forgot about it, cause I hated it, and even didn't finished it. One year later I picked it up and I finished it, I platinumed it, and I can say, it's a Final Fantasy!

I am fairly sure SE will make XIII-2 a great game and hope they listen to everyone's complaints on this one. FF9 is the best game of all time for me and this can certainly not touch that game, but it's not as bad as everyone says it is.

If the fighting in the game was like kingdom hearts then i would have liked it better. I got to disc 3 and just completely lost interest in it. Liked the story line but they really need to change the fighting in the final fantasy series. The other thing is you have 2 use your brain with these kind of games too or you'll just keep losing.
