  • hilarious video. The males build nests to attract a female?

  • lol dinkster pigeon has such a personality

  • Aw :] :] I love Dink. I can't wait to get a pigeon of my own. Won't be for awhile though. Hopefully you'll still be uploading videos by then so I can go to you for help!

  • @LucysGottaGrin if u need any help with pigeons, go to pigeontalk, just google it! I know this sounds like spam, but it really is a good and in my opinion reputable site...many pigeoners (including me) go there. I've gone there many times and saved many pigeons thanks to the people there!

  • i got a baby pigeon the other day, it fell out of its nest! its so cool having a pigeon walkin around my room! feed it mealworms eeeeveryday :)

  • pigeons are vegetarian they don't eat worms.

  • He's not building a nest. He's planning to steal your ID. He's even going to wear your flip flops. Stop letting him read your bank statements. :o)

  • i have to say, this was ridiculously cute. i think the 'narration' was what really sold me.

i have six house pigeons myself, and any of my girls would undoubtedly have been proud to live in such a beautifully built nest.

    good job, dinks!

  • Did you get Beeka outside or you bought it because i want pet peigeon too!

  • at least she tried bless her!

  • Its a pathetic nest but very cute.

  • I can't decide whether that's retarded or cute. Maybe a little both.

  • Pidgeons and Doves usually nest in cliffs and on buildings, so all they would need is a couple of twigs. However, some build a complete nest, like all other birds. Thats why Dinkster's like that.

  • Rallow, I think a major function of the pigeon "nest" is to indicate to the newly-hatched chicks where to poop and where not to poop. Poop outside the perimeter of the nest, or outside the barricade. This is what I have observed. The baby chicks stay extremely clean, settle down on their breasts in only the poop-free zone. I think the adults can usually keep the eggs where they need to be. sometimes the poops drop between the twigs of a nest.

  • That was so funny and I loved your explanation. Pigeons are great but you're right, they are not particularly good at nest-building.

  • I love watching pigeons build nests. They always seem very precise in the haphazard placement of the twigs. Watching dink build his slipper nest was great. thanks so much for posting it!

  • like i said before, i agree with you, they are the worst nest builders EVER.

This video in particular makes me laugh like hell.
