  • my choral group sang this last year and it was really fun! but we wont ever be as good as these guys, they are so awesome! i love that they put humor into their music. it makes them fun to listen to and fun to watch! why cant there be more performers like them?

  • amazing!

  • Long live the King's Singers! It's so nice to see performers with a sense of humour that are able to bring culture to people who are unfamiliar with it!

  • Excellent!

  • The King Singers are just so awesome. If I could sing like any one of them then I'd either make a great group like theirs. Or I'd record songs with myself singing all the parts. And probably any of these guys could pull that off and make it sound great.

  • Okay, this is kind of odd, but I guess it's okay.

  • perfect

  • The third one in on the left always reminds of Alex DeLarge (Malcom McDowell) from a Clockwork Orange

  • Thirty two people have no taste in music.

  • thumbs up if you watch this in 2011 !

  • INCREDIBLE !!!!

  • If anybody watches the Big Bang Theory than they could agree the guy to the very stage right looks like Sheldon

  • @cck523 I think the two stage right look like Frasier and Niles Crane

  • Amazing!!!

  • Rossini hit the like button!

  • this is what shuould be on tv not that junk which is supposed to be entertaining

  • I had this concert on video and watched it probably 100 times before the tape just wouldn't read anymore. Thanks for posting!

  • WOW! So cool! They are so epic!!

  • I love Bill Ives!

  • It's so fantastic! :D

  • Bien mais pas tout à fait nouveau, voir les quatre barbus dans les années 50-60 ou encore mieux les comédiens harmonistes dans l'Allemagne des années trente. Ces derniers ont enregistré des disques mais pas des vidéos.

  • I have to listen to this song every time it pops up in the suggestions.

  • i always hear this tune in my head when i'm bored (or when someone's boring me)

  • Comment removed

  • This is awesome... Why the hell am i laughing?

  • for me the best singers in the history of the group

  • entertainingly funny!! LOL

  • Mad tidlypooo's

  • 0:41 Psycho doodley.

  • Trop génial !!! XD

  • I could spend days listening to Chanticleer and The King's Singers alone.

  • @JTSHHS Although I am not sure which I like best!!!!

  • the new 1st countertenor(david) is a much professional countertenor than this 1st countertenor(jeremy) who is just a fun countertenor

  • I guess they have Musical instruments for breakfast...

  • Every time i hear this song it really makes me wanna blast it on a PA system in some factory or assembly line. OR blast it while I do the dishes or something that involves a very repetitive task.

  • utter genius I mean utter genius so cool Tiddily poob

  • Comparing this to the more recent one, it's nice to see they haven't changed much even when it's all different people :) I do prefer the newer one though.

  • Tiddlypoo :3

  • 29 people don't like tiddly poo, I mean who dosn't???!!!

  • @NSProductions1432 justin bieber fans.

  • @NSProductions1432 It's that 2nd set of tiddley-poos that gets me every time, with Jackman looking so offended... I first saw the KS do this piece when I was in high school, and 20-odd years later it still cracks me up.

  • I want tiddly poo as my ringtone

  • tiddly poo xD

  • The King's singers in those days were all great entertainers. I'm afraid that today's lineup, even if they are maybe even better singers, all lack the sense of comedy and timing from the 80's. Now that Stephen Connelly has left the group, there are no funny faces left in the group, and that's a pity, as humour was and should always be part of a King's singers concert.

  • @kaffelatte2 .. I am a Kings Singers fan and love all they sing... but I must agree that the 70's 80's 'lot' all seemed to have more fun...Have you listened and watched this line up singing 'Shot People' it is fantastically brilliantly funny and I watch once a day just to get my chuckle muscles warmed up... Happy watching fellow fan and Happy Christmas too... regards from Wales UK :0)X

  • @kaffelatte2 There's Paul Phoenix, of course ! And David can be quite funny too, but I agree, it's too bad Stephen isn't there anymore.

  • fantastic ...terrific....unbelievable perfect..Thank you

  • No me canso de ver este video una y otra vez

  • amazing!

  • Brillant!

  • one of the best a capella groups of all time

  • 28 people have no ear for good teedily booms.

  • pure genius!!!!

  • Ah, how simple and uncorrupted our collective sense of humour was back in 1982, before the era of overexposure and being jaded and nonplussed by everything. In 2010 this probably wouldn't even draw much of a laugh from the audience; they'd expect to be entertained in a more direct and less subtle manner. I have seen the King's Singers in person, and they put on a phenomenal show. If you have the chance to go see them, I highly recommend it (for the music *and* for the humour.)

  • Whats this piece called not the whole overture but just this section?

  • @VONerSHUCK Shut up, nigger.

  • I saw two times the king's singers.... it was always AMAZING !!! You really need to listen them one time in your life! :-)

  • @VONerSHUCK I'm sorry what? I do not follow.... and WEAK? wow...

  • @VONerSHUCK thankyou for your self introduction

  • cunt

they will be better than u

    cunt

  • tidaleeboo

  • 27 people are Justin Beiber fans :/

  • i love this!!

  • INcredible! WOW!

  • Oh my gosh. Amazing. I love the facial expression of the third person from the left. His eyes are like they're permanently set on "wide."

  • Oh my gosh. Amazing.

  • I think the old music is so much better than the newer music

  • I couldn't stop smiling at this =D <3 It!!!

  • for me it's the best team of all king's singers!

  • @mouthmouse yes, i like this combination the best of all time

  • @mouthmouse ... have you seen this line up in 'the Kings Singers on the Good Old Days'... I guarantee you will love it... 2 songs totally different to eachother but performed SUPERBLY... I love it.. Ist is a Barber-shop number 'I'm my own Grandpa... the 2nd 'There's no place like home'... Sheer bliss... Best regards from Wales UK :0)x

  • @wenglishsal Yes I watched that! That confirms that's my favorite combine of the king singers! Did you see Short People? I love that!

  • @mouthmouse ... Yes I have watched 'Short People... hee hee.. usually once a day, because it makes me smile so much,,, there a quite a lot of 'oldies' on here of the Kings singers... I subscribed to @kingssingers... there a amazing ones on there... Have you watched 'Masterpiece'... AWESOME is the world I would use to discribe that one...Happy veiwing as I do... Best regards from Wales UK ... :0)x

  • @wenglishsal Yes but I like only until Beethoven! did you see deconstructing bach? best regard from Cantal!

  • @mouthmouse ... Yes I have watched 'Deconstructing Bach'... It'sreally clever isn't it... I have a playlist of about 87 Kings singers pieces ranging from this to New Day, Pie Jesu and so many more wonderful songs... Have you watched 'Widdecombe Fare'... It's very funny... Kinest of regards from a VERY SUNNY Wales (at he moment) :0)x

  • @wenglishsal Yes but it's not my favorite! You seem to know very well King's siners so do you know why the bass 'll leave the string next month?

  • @mouthmouse ... Stephen is taking up a Proffessor of music post in the south of england... He has sung with KS for 22 years and I suppose he wants to enjoy time with family and slow down a little... Mind you I don't think he will be 'slow' in the Univercity... I wish him very well in his noew post and also LOTS of luck to his replacement Johnny Howard who steps into the post officlally in October

  • fantastico!bravissimi!

  • Awesome, especially during those ages! ;) Very avanguardesque! :P

  • i think i gave this video over 20,000 views i watch it every day ast least 20 times

  • @altaboy97 ... I LOVE IT TOO.. I normally watch it about twice a day though... It always makes me smile and puts me in very good humour before going off to work and when I get home again too... Kings Singers both 'earlies' and 'the here and now's' are fantastic, stupendous and absolutely GREAT.. The absolute tops in my book... In fact the guys nowadays take this at a fair pace...But still fantastic... Oh happy me indeed... :0)x

  • This kind of professional music on YouTube gives me hope that the right people will get to see my granddaughter's "Absu Road" music video.

  • Totally love this

  • You know what I like best about this particular ensemble -- Bill Ives looks (and almost sounds) like Luke Skywalker. when I was younger I kinda thought it was somehow....

    (aaaaand I'm a geek.)

  • this is hilarious the faical expressions are so funny

  • The "Quatre Barbus" (4 Bearded Men" sang it in the french movie «Boum sur Paris» (Bang on Paris) (1954) (Music: Rossini - "Lyrics": Francis Blanche) You can see the link below to watch it.

  • Wow best thing I ever Sean on u2be cooll

  • I love how Bill Ives will just stare down the camera 90% of the time. These guys are fantastic.

  • fantastic!

  • (-:

  • Ha ha ha watch the Tenor in the middle of this piece, his facial expression s are really funny, as are the ones he pulls in 'Short People 1982', posted by @KaiserPat too... The King Singers singing = Pure joy and much grinning... :0)x

  • I swear I can see a Niles or a Frasier in each of these men.

  • @Thamer4life I 150% agree with this sentiment :D

  • Is it bad that i know this song mainly thanks to Bugs Bunny and Woody Woopecker?

  • @bandboy10 not at all! :) its the same for me

  • absolute choral genius... both the arrangement and the performance.

  • hhhhhhhhh

  • is it me or does the one on the far left look like a fake person?

  • I absolutely love this version, it makes me kind of sing along and smile a lot... Brilliant stuff this, I remember see the King Singers on BBC 2 back in the 80's with my Mum... Fabulous reminder and fantastic vocals and harmonies... :0)x

  • Amazing my chir did an arangment close to this one

  • can you clean the song?

  • reminds me of ned flanders :))

  • why does the one on the far left strike me as a Eunuch?

  • @shortythestoner

because he sings in falsetto and u dont know what it si.

  • @shorty: Lol, he does look like one, but he's really just a really good countertenor.

  • its one of my greatest wishes to do the dishes one day with kings singers

  • Simon Carrington was just the conduction of the Florida All-State Concert Chorus that I was in. He is an amazing conductor

  • Epic

  • Maybe it's just me, but the guy on the left's expression at 0:32 was hilarious. Anyway, great music, thanks for posting!

  • excellent! i hated performing this but this is good <3

  • Superb...Choir and entertainment:-)..

  • Tiddley-pom...isn't that what Winnie-the-Pooh sings?

  • These guys are truly a-m-a-z-i-n-g! And believe me, I know how challenging acapella singing is. What kills me is when the camera pans over to the audience, most of whom look like corpses being propped up in their chairs.............for god's sake, these people need to LIGHTEN UP!

  • Lol. yes. Specially at 2:51. I think the lady is actually dead and nobody has noticed.

  • Love their expressions! Is the guy on the far left wearing lipstick?!? It was perfection as this is extremely difficult to master. Diddly-boo!

  • genius

  • Just Awesome! Nothing else i cant say!
