I am quite sure this wasnt Kimi's fastest lap that day. It seemed to me to be a 'banker' lap, he clearly wasnt pushing in many of the tricky corners, you can also see that in his time. But a clean lap nonetheless.

first of all,the lens on the race camera is stretching the image,making it look even faster,but aside from that,for these guys its second nature.yes it's still difficult and the margin for error is almost non existant, but these guys have spent the best part of their lives training to drive these machines fast, not to mention they've studied the tracks to the point that they probably have every corner and speed at which to take them memorised, probably dream about them every night.

@pseudohendrix i think most drivers have commented that they dont really "think" per say. They can just drive. Its like moving your arms and legs you dont really think about it, you just do.

that was the time when they used to have TC on so they don't bother 2 much about wheel spin...

concerning about shifting.. they do that by the feeling and they don't even thing about that because they drive more than 100 laps a day in a simulator and they basicly can drive with they eyes closed...

@pseudohendrix, and remember, the drivers don't have the same kind of view as we do from the camera, since they're much lower. You would think that because they're going so fast already that they have to have fast reflex. But now add the kind of visibility they have from where they're sitting, SUPERHUMAN REFLEXES!!!!!!!!!!!!
