What really interests me is whether these clips were made for instructional purposes or if this is how Ogura sensei would perform the kata in a public demonstration.

No, 顔面当て. Check where the pommel strikes. It goes to the solar plexus in 四本目, but here it goes to the bridge of the nose. Thus the names.
Footwork: first turn is nice. As previously stated, okuri-ashi isn't easy at speed and the second turn shows the same problems as were seen in 諸手突き.
