She is neither homely or Christian, so yeah, whatever. I don't get why it's embarrassing to not have had sex yet, sex is for the marriage bed, always has been, always shall be. Sex is not a recreational activity like bowling or fishing, it's a lifetime commitment between a man and a woman, and it is sacred and not to be treated with disrespect.

To YOU sex is those things. and that's ok.

To OTHERS, sex IS a recreational activity like bowling or fishing, has nothing to do with a lifetime commitment between anyone, and is simply fun, not "sacred" at all. To others, speaking about sex in terms of "respect" or "disrespect" makes as much sense as saying "eating a yummy sandwich is sacred & not to be treated with disrespect". That's ok too.

People are different, & YOUR standards aren't THE standards.

@TwoGunGunnar you see, that's where you are wrong. My standards are God's standards, and since He is the one who created sex, he gets to make the rules, not you. That sort of casual idea about sex is why we have VD, A.I.D.S. and Herpes. That is God's judgment on our immoral and stupid ideas about His wonderful gift.

@apologeticsman sex is sacred in the Bible? Genesis 38 Judah goes to a prostitute. When he finds out his daughter in law prostituted herself, he wants to have her burnt. Sounds pretty casual to me. Double standards can't be sacred. Boys don't pledge their virginity to their mothers. Does this sound God made to you? Sounds man made to me.

@vm145y well, without knowing the context and circumstances of the instances you are referring to, I can only say that just because something wicked that people do is recorded in the Bible, doesn't mean God advocated it. Many people claim God ordained multiple marriages, but in fact, he commanded against them. Before you judge an entire book, you might want to read more than just the parts you use to refute it.

@apologeticsman Hi. I'm glad God doesn't advocate wicked things. "since He is the one who created sex, He gets to make the rules" But why are the rules so anti-female? God couldn't possibly love his female creations less, but the Bible is full of if a woman has sex when she shouldn't her thigh will rot, stone her, kill her, don't marry a widow or an immoral woman...there is no punishment for men cheating or having premarital sex. Just don't go with a mother and daughter at the same time!
