    Adam

  • @ajhdbsteam They came with the CD version of the route.

  • Ah the little trains of wells. Your right it is beautiful.

  • where do you get the Route at ?

  • You should also have mentioned what engine is based on which Skarloey E

    nngine. I.E. Talyllyn=Skarloey. Edward Thomas=Peter Sam.

  • The Railway Series came first, and Douglas where Duncan's red livery from the books, not amber from tv.

  • Ah, the Talylln, a beautiful route indeed...

I like the 2ft gauge engines, they seem more down to earth than larger locos...

So is this route pawyare? Does it have a coal bin and/or a water tank for re-fueling?

  • @Shipwright1918 The CD version costs money, but it is worth it. The locomotives can be refueled as well.

  • @Shipwright1918 There is a freeware version on UKTrainSim but the payware version is a bit more accurately detailed.

  • wots the song??????????

  • Look in the credits.

  • you would make a great thomas narrator.

  • I'm glad you think so.

  • what game is this... is it MSTS???

  • Yes

  • When you said something about the Tallylyn Railway having connections with Thomas the Tank Engine and how Rev. Awdry based all that for the Skarloey Railway, I got to say that you're not joking.

  • Funny if there was a HotBox Detector

  • what game do u use? i think i have trainz 2006, what do u use?

  • All of my reviews so far have been MSTS. I do own Trainz, but I don't play it as much.

  • wats msts? lawlz

  • Microsoft Train Simulator. It's one of the video's tags.

  • oh coolio, any idea where i could buy it?

  • What was the train at 0:22?

  • Tom Rolt, #7 at the Talyllyn Railway.

  • Thanks! Then what is the locomotive in the beggining called? Im a fan of Narrow Guage locomotives! PS. I rated this 5 Stars, Favorited it, Subscribed you, and friend request please?

  • You can read more about their railway by going to their website (link in the sidebar).

  • well well well! you'r first, referns to thomas and friends, you'r, first narrow gage line video, and you'r first referinse to a british railway!

  • Finally! You did a review on a British route!:)

  • BTW, I think the default cabview from the Scotsman sucks.

  • And you said fleight at 1:16.

  • yeah he did!

  • I said "Slate".

  • oh.

  • yes im glad they decided on the golsdorf cab as the default as it looks a lot like the real thing

  • I've always wanted to visit there.

  • Hey, you answered my question. Thanks Nick!

  • two minutes of nothingness on the end.

all throughout this i saw little thomas faces on engines.... the scary part is i never really watched it all the time, or liked it all too much!!

my eyes are playing tricks on me!

oh and some of the shots would make awesome stills 5:20 and 5:24 look truly phenomenal.

  • so stunning and gorgeous

  • Beautiful route and video. You do know how to pick them, and make them look exquisite! I'm curious now, as their was a special on PBS I think that had The Edge from U2 riding and describing a small Irish railroad. I kinda think this may have been it? Very interesting none the less.

  • Nice, as always!

  • Wow! Welcome back, mate. This is a truly stunning review of a truly stunning route. The music selection was particularly good here. Just from seeing this review, especially combined with your reviews of Ozark Northern, Donner Pass and others is more than enough to make me want to buy a second hard drive and reinstall MSTS! Very, very well done!

P.S. Forgive me for indulging in a bit of sillyness, but at about 6:08-6:11 it appears that the coaches are being naughty and shunting Dolgoch on ;P.

  • 2:12 I KNEW you'd use that music!

Good start on getting back to reviewing "foriegn" routes.

  • Thanks, Brian. I did want to get back to foreign routes, and this was the perfect opportunity.

  • ...and yes, I couldn't resist using that song.

  • You should use that theme in future episodes.
