Punky has a stomach pain or appendix crisis.But it is well operated today.You go to hospital,have an anesthesia and you wake up with a scar on the stomach.That's all.It hurts at the moment but it is not serious.
I went to the ER with a really bad stomach ache and it turned out I had to have my gallbladder taken out and believe me I was just as scared as punky and of course what can go wrong will go wrong I ended up with the complication of a cut bile duct and I had to wear a drain for nearly four months and go through four different sets of stents I'm greatful to God that I am okay now
True story: In ninth grade, my appendix exploded. I had had a terrible tummy ache for days, but no one would take me into the doctor. When I finally was taken in, I was shaking uncontrollably and could hardly speak. They had no idea what was wrong with me in the ER, but I kept remembering the scene at 4:45 from when I had seen this show as a child. I kept insisting, "I have whatever Punky Brewster had!" ...but nobody had seen the show. Finally, a nurse heard me, and shouted, "Appendicitis!"
Punky was so afraid to have an operation & she was upset. She did cried for what is happening at Cook County Hospital. That was sad that punky was sick at home & was being rushed to the hospital & Henry did take her to the hospital.
Well, you know as well as I do that back in the 80s, they didn't do things like that, which I think is awful. It's not like today where most doctors will tell you the truth. At the same time, it's usually best to hear it from a relative than from a doctor -- a complete stranger.
This episodes reminds of the time my grandpa got appedtias (or however u spell it). He refused to go to a hospital until my aunt told he might die. So he went and he feels a lot better now.

I love this episode! Soleil's acting was very impressive in this one. But, she's amazing in every episode! I think she was great in this one.
