  • I can'y do one of these. Any tips? I really want to start having a healthier lifestyle.

  • @mosnaidei

Message part 2/2: Stand facing the wall about 50cm or 2 feet away from the wall. place your hands at or just below shoulder height. move your face to the wall then push out.

Hope this helps. let me know how you get on.

    Jeff

  • @mosnaidei

Message pat 1/2: Have you downloaded my ebook yet? that will help with your health.

With push ups sometimes we need to start small. Try push ups on your knees. The closer your knees are to your hands the easier. If you have your knees quite close to your hands and are still struggling try standing push ups.

  • does the whole of the chest hit the ground or just the lower part coz at 5:27 only the lower seems to be in contact with the ground

  • @NarayanSRahul good point.

To get your whole chest on the floor you would need to slightly elevate your but/hips which would make your back have an un-natural curve. It would also mean tilting your head back to avoid hitting the floor. That is why only part of my chest touches the floor.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you are picking at it because it means you are really interested in proper form.

    Jeff

  • I'm a begginer at wieght training. I've been trying to do one push-up, but I keep falling down flat on the floor. Is that normally part of the process or do I have to make my muscles strongger before doing push-ups?

  • @vyperspit I've the same query too. What exercises do we need to do to strengthen pull ups?

  • @tkpsbds for pull ups the best exercise is assisted pull ups, either the machine at the gym - the only time i recommend a machine - or by a friend.

here is a great video which may help: youtube dot com/user/scooby1961#p/search/6/mRznU6pzez0

then watch mine at: youtube dot com/watch?v=0wrC28n2BqA

Any other exercise that strengthens your Lats will help like bent over dumbbell rows.

  • @vyperspit

Try push ups on your knees. The closer your knees are to your hands the easier. If you have your knees quite close to your hands and are still struggling try standing push ups where you stand facing a wall and push up against the wall. To build strength you need to push yourself quite hard each time to be able to improve and strengthen. Try downloading my ebook (link below video) for more tips.

Best of luck and keep me updated.

    Jeff

  • this is going to help me on my 30 push up test

    thanks

  • @TheKillerdubstep42 no worries. Let me know how it goes... hopefully well!

  • I've been doing some push-ups of late, but I don't think I went down as low as the guy in the video did. Can do a max of about 12 at once currently. Does anyone know if push-ups help in training for chin-ups through the building of arm muscles?

  • @tkpsbds hi, Push Ups won't really help directly with being able to do chin ups. While your arms are important for both in push ups you use your triceps while in chin ups you use your biceps. So you need to do both to get the best results,

  • @JeffVlahovich Thanks a lot for the reply.

  • not good you need to learn how to do it properly

  • @workout12ful sorry this video couldn't help you. I believe this is the best form you can possibly do for a push up. Would love to hear your input as to how to do a perfect push up. feel free to inbox me.

  • @JeffVlahovich Definitely, i dont post videos but i will soon and you can give me your opinion i dont want to correct you in that form.something ive learned is when going all the way down the breathing,02 for your muscles or else you'll burn out,but thats what ive learned so far.keep in touch thanks.

  • @workout12ful i agree breathing is very important and i can't wait to see your videos!

  • @JeffVlahovich dont worry i'll keep you posted.=)

  • Thank you so much, this is really helpful

  • @kwokpinglau so glad this helped! Keep up the training!

  • im 11 years old and only 102.......uh, i mean 92 pounds ( im blushing), and i cant pull my self up on the ground.Im not even fat!please help =(

  • @terenfrancis678 You can start by doing push ups on your knees. though at 11 years old it is not necessary to be able to do many push ups. As long as you are active and enjoying your sports and exercises.

  • Really nice guide, I always did wrong, but now I get the concept, hope I'll do it right then! =D

  • @iszac87 Great to hear you are now getting the form correct. You will get the results my friend!

  • @iszac87 Keep practicing!

  • @AwesomeReject No Worries!

  • Thanks heaps. I used to sort of dread push ups, I could do them. But like they never felt right and my wrists always hurt. But your video helped heaps, I can't do as many now. But like you said, quality over quantity. Cheers man.

  • @TPTP17 I'm glad the videos have helped mate. That's why i make them.

  • @TPTP17 Awesome to hear you are focusing on quality. Many people don't listen because they just want to do more. You will be the one getting results. All the best!

  • 3:40

  • this niggas arms mutated at 2:28

  • We have a week to be able to do 20 perfect pushups from begginer, if not we have to do a 1 1/2 mile run round our school field >.>

  • I'm 15, I did 57. Are 57 good?

  • @ReApeRiSMe holy shitaky mushrooms!!!!! you are a champion body builder....are you using steroids? I am 16 and I cant do one!!!

  • @kerorogunso1997 haha no not using steroids, never have. You can get much bigger than me and do much heaver lift even without steroids. To get started doing pushups you can start on your knees like i explain. gradually you can make your hands and knees further apart until you can do them on your feet. For more tips why not download my free ebook on beginner's guide to bodybuilding: link just below video above.

  • Could you give me a ballpark on what foods to eat while working out? I seem to be confused a bit on that. I know you should eat a lot of protein but anything else?

  • @wolfengheist sure, there is a lot to it and to be honest diet is 10 times more important than the exercise. I can help you out with information but like i said there is a lot to it. The best thing to do is download my free ebook (link below the video above). if you still have questions then message me and i'll get back to you.

  • Thank you for your quick response and will read your book. Again Thanks!

  • @wolfengheist no worries, let me know how you go

  • @sukhmani57 Try downloading my ebook (the link is above - just below the video). Most of the questions you ask are answered in detail there. It talks in depth about diet and timing. All the best champion!

  • @JeffVlahovich m doing 2:34 i cant do correctly i don;t know wwhy

  • @kerorogunso1997 My arms collapsed, and no I do not use steroids. And no I am not a champion body builder, but I am a kick-boxer...

  • @ReApeRiSMe 57 are fantastic! As long as you are doing them correctly. make sure you go right down to the ground.

Why not download my free beginner's guide to bodybuilding starter pack/ebook to help you with many more tips:link above

  • @JeffVlahovich Thanks, I was thinking about joining the military. Do you have any idea what the minimum requirements are? I know that I have a lot of planning to do still, but any help would be appreciated.

  • @ReApeRiSMe I am not sure what the requirement is though i know some other tests require 20 or even 40 push ups. My advice is to set a goal and take the steps to achieve it. That means starting where you are now and continually pushing yourself until you get there. If you haven't yet downloaded my ebook then that would be a great start as i talk about goal setting. The link is above.

  • Hi! You said, when the hands are too close in that's another kind of push-up, and that you'd explain later. Is it in another video?

    Thanks! Great video!

  • @ssurprize I decided to split the video in 2. I've now linked the other half in the video description above. enjoy!

    PS thanks for the comment

  • @ReemKhaled1996 It is great to hear you persist with trying. It is not the end of the world if you can only do 1 or 2 pushups.

Perhaps try pushups on your knees. They can be just as effective when done correctly. Message me for more info.

    Jeff

  • :( you all are lucky i can't do it because the doctor said that something wrong with my back and my right hand bond is weak :'( and till this day I'm trying to do the push up and other things! :( I only did 2 push ups correctuly for 2 years now! ah :(

  • @0wnUrFac3 thanks for the comment,

That is a common form for push ups though does not give you full range of movement and hence does not work the entire muscle. Think of doing bench press, the bar should come right down to your chest. In this case the floor is like the bar and so your chest should be touching the floor.

If done slowly, full range push ups give you the best workout for your chest.

  • I always thought you were supposed to go down so your elbows and shoulders were in line, not to the floor. Well, that's what my rugby coach said.

  • GREAT VIDEO!! Helped alot! :-)

  • Thanks @frenchi191

    Glad it helped!

    How many can you do?
